Well hendrix did not use overdrive pedals. Just go for a fuzz and clean it up with your guitars volume.

Ive today ordered the bh112 combo for £200 .... Dont think it will be much different from the cab n head! I hope so anyway, it sounds awesome

great tone !. Also have one. Did it improve much with the upgraded el84 ? I tried a GT 12ax7R and a nos GE 12ax7 and all sounded good, even the stock chinese one. Cheers

I tried a JJ el84 and was almost the same as the chinese el84, hard to notice any difference.
