Thankyou John, I am "fleetingdays", but, I'm also known on my gigs as "Johnny Boy" in Minneapolis, MN USA. I've posted quite a few clips and thought that it was time to let folks see who I was. Thankyou for your comment!!
It's nice to know a bit more about you, although I did look up your banner on You Tube. I'm also from (NE) Minneapolis and now live in River Falls, WI. I come to the cities fairly often. I've played most of your clips; you're very prolific! I've played concertina for about 50 years, but not actively all that time. Last May I joined the North Star Concertina Club which has been fun and encouragement. I'm also new to You Tube. BTW thanks for the encouragement.
Thankyou John. Again, I fully understand why you weren't actively playing all of the time. Life and or the wife/girlfriend can get in the way. I know, I've been there. Some of the very best concertina players today are from beautiful Wisconsin. I know that you are busy, but, please bring out that concertina each and everyday and play a few tunes. Thankyou for your comment!
Very nice to know that you play the Chemnitzer concertina!! I know very well that sometimes life gets in the way, but, try to find time to practice and enjoy your concertina!! Thankyou for your comment!!
Great to see a realtime photo shoot of you playing. I make the exact same facial expressions that you do when I play the Gem Deluxe!! Great Job!! Add more with yourself in the video shoot! this was great!!!!!!!!
Thankyou! Chuck Thiel and His Jolly Ramblers played at the Minnesota State Fair this year. And, yes, Chuck does play a Gem Deluxe concertina. You just need to not expose any concertina to too much heat or cold. Have a nice day!!
I enjoy your concertina playing a great deal. I shared this video on my blog.
I play the triple row diatonic button accordion. One day, I'd like to try my hand at learning the concertina.

Whats is that concertina underneath the purple towel? I also agree covering up a concertina when it is not played 9definitly protects it)

Bravo, from another Chemnitzer concertina player. I love this piece. Your rendition sets a goal for how I'd like to play it.
