  • NormanBates- I will take a stab at your question (no pun intended). The word "spool" has a particular emphasis on the "oooooo" which, when spoken and drawn out, evokes a rather creepy and nostalgic mood. That's Krapp regressing into his memory. ChrisBetton and Takara1- While I can't disagree on taste, Rick Cluchey was directed by Sam Beckett. He was a member of the San Quentin Theatre Project and this is probably the closest interpretation to what Beckett himself would have wanted.

  • I like John Hurt's rendition of this better.

  • This isn't a very good version, I recommend the Pinter version if you're studying it.
