The battle system is something to get used to. I played star ocean psp versions and the battle system was easy to figure out in this game is all about the right distance without it you moves wont work. Besides that real time battles like this own. lol

actually the game and battle is quite fun IMO, sure Tales series are much better.., but this game is still worth a buy

How to beat this game: press X until you see the credits. You /may/ need to use the d-pad or analog stick.

Seriously. All you do is press X for normal attacks and you can beat the game easily. You don't even need magic, or the rest of your party.

Took me 9 hours to finish. Which, for a RPG, is pathetic. Heck, even the art could've been better (but is decent). VA is decent though.

Overall score: 3.5/10. Play only if you have a CF on your PSP. Not worth buying, period.

This really could be wholly revamped if it were on lines, such as Tales of Rebirth, Tempest, hell, even Symphonia. All the running and missing due to being on different planes would be corrected with just the simple addition of three linear planes.

Sad day. I hope to play it eventually, though. I hear it's...charming.

@ZnyxianAzure Not at all. While not the best the Tales series has to offer, Symphonia is a great game throughout. I was simply mentioning that while the battlefields are 3-D, all actions are performed in a 2-D plane, occupied by the character and its target. The system worked well, though it was humorous to see your allies free running while you sat against a wall.

Wait, wait, Rebirth? Star Ocean uses the free run system, Tales doesn't use that until Abyss. This is the poor man's anything, since it sucks, and I prefer Tales over SO as well but Rebirth? That's a pretty obscure title to choose.
