It's more or less like the closing circles talked about in the book, except the concept is inverted, closing the space inside the summoned matter, rather than protecting the space inside from the outer realms.

i can't believe that i didn't know about this series either. of course it was only run for one season two years ago... look at what they did to poor firefly that show was unfreakingbelieveable... the effects, the plot, the characters, and the costumes! all fantastic and rich and well thought out and *poof* cut after one measly season! and then they keep shit that just doesn't go anywhere and drags oooon and oooon and just *fails*! -__-

I can't help but wonder what Bob experienced out there. And 'We are for all intents and purposes... in...' Only a truly great actor could deliver a line like that and send a chill down my spine. Terrence Mann is brilliant. I think I've said that before but it's still true. I love this show!
