I like many things about America. But the idea of someone trying to put society against someone because "he hates America" is just ridiculous. It is actually hateful. I can like, love, dislike or hate whatever I want...and someone saying "Michael Moore hates America" (wow, he really came up with a subtle title for the movie, not like Michael Moore would have done, ha?) isn't adding anything meaningul to the discussion.
I haven't watched the film but the trailer (and the title) look really, really dumb. The title in particular, if it's not ironic (I would have to watch the movie to be sure it is not), seems completely ridiculous to me. I mean, I agree that Michael Moore makes biased, misleading movies, but...so what if he hated America? I mean, is it like a taboo to say it? You can only have moral authority to speak if you love America? Otherwise you should just keep your mouth shut?

Actually, you could say the same about the "news". Most forms of information is distorted/edited/and out right lies, but we only apparently notice this with Michael Moore.
This documentary points out a lot of issues with michael moores film, but I still feel MM's message about capitalism makes a lot of sense. I mean our economy is going to shit, and the majority of people are struggling financially, perhaps the free market is only working for a select few. We all have the opportunity to make our or destiny, but IT is impossible for everyone to be financial well off, which is the American dream, right?

@person40000 Watch the movie. It's actually much better than the trailer lets on. The guy just examines the way that MM edits his documentaries and stages certain segments for his own benefits. The biggest examples is in Bowling For Columbine when MM supposedly gets a gun with 30 minutes of setting up a bank account, when in actuality he had phoned ahead to set everything up and get his background check done in advance. This way it seemed as if the bank would had out guns to anyone.
Oh yeah, a bad economy, high violence, and the political parties made to deceive the majority. So, Michael speaks about it . . . -_-. . . yeah Michael Moore clearly hates America. This was filmed by an average american, making a very valid point. I saw it on hulu, and it was average, but I really liked what was said in it and it really does successfully call out Moore for screwing with footage and making drama out of a very calm situation. Bowling for Columbine, though entertaining, is riddled with editing that turns truth into lies.

American films show American men taunting the disabled in American city streets. The audience is supposed to laugh at that point, and it does.

@person40000 Watch the movie. It's actually much better than the trailer lets on. The guy just examines the way that MM edits his documentaries and stages certain segments for his own benefits. The biggest examples is in Bowling For Columbine when MM supposedly gets a gun with 30 minutes of setting up a bank account, when in actuality he had phoned ahead to set everything up and get his background check done in advance. This way it seemed as if the bank would had out guns to anyone.

I saw it on hulu, and it was average, but I really liked what was said in it and it really does successfully call out Moore for screwing with footage and making drama out of a very calm situation. In the last 50 years we helped crash the Soviet Union and lead an extremely prosperous period of American history with a conservative economics approach, amongst other things. Rag on Bush all you want, but don't ever make him the representative of traditional conservativism. I don't understand how you can make the success of a long history of conservative theory contingent on the last person to claim a few of it's ideals. It's a very narrow thinking.
