in case you want to find more bands that sound like this the genre is called "digital hardcore" it has its beginnings with the atari teenage riot, the lead singer of which is the owner of the record label these guys are on. ;)
A random person told me to listen to this, I like industrial sounding stuff so I kept listening, then I heard his voice.....goodbye I'm going back to listening to my progressive music, OPETH FOREVER
Let me explain why. Throughout the song its him waiting for and getting on a bus. In the chorus he says he feels the steel in his hands and the wind in his face, "thank you god for making me an alien". They also did a couple songs relating to bikes on This Life Is Where You Get F*****. Also, the Northwest United States is known for it's bike culture. I could be wrong, but that's how I interpreted it.
This is an awesome song, just put it on my myspace so people will get blasted with it as soon as they go there.
oh and I hope they don't get "rll famous" like the person below suggested, that would mean they would sell out and their music would suffer and change for the worse if they became another mainstream band, as is always the case.
not necessarily its good if they become famous but through their own means and not to change their music. so yeah not all bands sell out, y granted most do but have faith lol
I just got this song! I think... He's thanking God for being an alien, referring to being different from all the bad people out there. You know, like he's not human, because he's not a dick. Great song. Hope they get rll famous.
I might feel stupid for saying this, but this isn't Industrial. This is Digital Hardcore. Industrial is... Stuff like Throbbing Gristle, Current 93, Cabarat Voltaire and NON.
Just trying to get to correct the misplacements in the Industrial genre. :)
@thexdeadxone you insinuate that im saying it must be mainstream to be good when its good on its own yet not "Known" to the public meaning itll be quite some time before people actually get to know this band i never said they had to be "Mainstream" to be good and most underground bands arent good enough to get out there yet they seem to be doing very well on their own. so ya dont misplace my words
so. fuck. good.
