In reply to some of the comments, WWII gets a lot of attention. Many other genocides apparently don't, and so Germans get perhaps unfair attention. Russians killed more Russians & Ukrainians before WWII than the Germans. Turks the Armenians in WWI, Edi Amin 1/2 million Ugandians, Khmer Rouge 3 million Cambodians, how many in China's revolution?

We won the war and it's not like they had it easy aswell. I live in Belgium and we were occupied twice. Millions died on our soil. The past is the past, no point in taken offence over things that are long gone.
I speak German and I'm a bit surprised by the reaction of these German soldiers. Although I know many of them were not Nazi's, they were ordered to fight for their country. Now, after all these years they still can't say "I'm sorry. I did bad things, bad things were done to me and my friends, but I shouldn't have been there in the first place".

@Wallonische What's funny is that the Russians had some very good cannons during the Winter War (Russia vs Finland w/ a few German Units to help the Finns) and later on, that were called "Ratschbumm" in German soldier Slang.Called Ratschbumm cause by the time you'd hear the bang from the cannon the projectile already hit. It was a German made gun, sold to the Russians before the war in great numbers, but the Germans didn't have them..

anybody can speak english.Its an easy language to learn,German is more difficult,and considering I`m a non German ,my German isn`t bad.But let me highlight to you that we have only exchanged views via writing.I think if we met and exchanged ideas verbally,my German would come up better than your English.Of that I have no doubt......i would need to live in Germany for a year,then I`d improve my German to a point where I could convince people I`m actually German.

actually, german is much more a 'regular' language. english is not, and more difficult to learn. of course, you are someone who lies about age and residence, so none should take seriously what you say. in any language.

Ok, kleiner Deutsch-Förderkurs für chinesische Spätaussiedler (und ich mach mir jetzt extra die Mühe, Groß-/Kleinschreibung zu beachten!): "Ich bezweifle allderdings, dass dein Englisch besser ist, als mein Deutsch. Dein kurzgeschriebenes(?) englisches Gelaber war kaum lesbar. Unter dem Druck, schnell zu sprechen, so vermute ich, ist dein Englisch bestenfalls nur durchschnittlich. Ich würde gerne deinen Akzent hören, wenn du Englisch sprichst."

ich zweifele alledings das dein Englisch besser ist als mein Deutsch.Dein kurz geschriebenes Englisches gelaber war kaum lessbar.Unter Druck, schneller zu sprechen ,vermutte ich, dass dein Englisch,am besten, nur durchschnittlich ist.
