Cheyl should have been there instead of Farrah because she walked away in the beginning as did Kate later but Kate, Cheryl, and Jackie were the long term Angels.
Too bad Farrah let her ego and her husband at the time Lee Majors get in the way of what could have been.
They all look fantastic !! Considering the circumstances for Farrah, she looked pretty good too. It is sad they didn't of Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack, and Tonya Roberts since they were all Charlies's Angels.
Charlie's Angels is 3 at a time. They were the 3 original ones. They started the phenomenon. Cheryl was really really great and nothing taken away from her at all but she wasn't there from the start. It's more dramatic to have the 3 originals come out. To have 4 or 5 or 6 come out isn't the same. They were going for the look and feel of 3 which is what Charlie's Angels is really. And the originals. It's hard to explain. Plus people really loved them some Farrah. She was an incredible phenomenon
Now THIS is what I like and personally, although Cheryl Ladd was a great replacement for Farrah Fawcett, The 1st Season of Charlie's Angels will ALWAYS be the best
I mean, Kate Jackson, the late Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith had the chemistry and the combination of Brain, Beauty and Brawn-Kate was the Brains and the Leader, Farrah was the Beauty and Jaclyn was the Brawn and also, Kate Jackson is my favorite Angel and I also LOVE her on Scarecrow & Mrs. King and The Rookies.

@EnglshRoc Well just so ya know, the 1st 4 Seasons was in the Nielsen Ratings Top 20, but the 1st 2 Seasons were the best as it broke the Nielsen Ratings Top 5 w/Season 1 @ #4 and Season 2 @ #3, but personally, I like Season 1 The Best and also, Kate Jackson is my favorite Angel, but she's not a fan of the Movie Versions and I can't say as I blame her and I wasn't a fan of the Films either as The TV Version was more serious while the Movie Versions were too Comical and God Awful
@Lum1706 Aaron Spelling was the producer of the original Charlie's Angels series as well as other shows. His Daughter was or is actress Tori Spelling. Unfortunately he never got to see his grandchildren because He passed away in 2006.
Farrah looked great in the 70's but looked weathered in the 80's and onward.. The others, meanwhile, stayed beautiful. Too bad that she came to represent the series which she was only on for one season.
Wow! It's interesting looking at this...I think Farrah was beginning to go through her own health trouble during that time. Rest in peace, sweet Farrah!
Well, after Farrah Fawcett turned her back on the show, it was Cheryl Ladd who kept the show going, and made it an even bigger hit in Season 2. Cheryl Ladd stayed on the show 4 years, and it's cruel to shun her. She deserves credit and recognition for her large contribution to the show, and she should have been at the reunion. Many of us started watching with Cheryl. It's WRONG to shun her fans.
IMO, Cheryl Ladd may have been the most gorgeous angel, but it was these 3 beauties that caught fire in Season 1 and so are rightly credited for that in this tribute. It was either these 3 or all 6...... it had to be a hard decision, but ultimately ...
Did i love to watch those magnificent women doing what only men used to do in those times on TV. Ok, today maybe a bit cheesy, but back then it changed my perspective on what i could do once grown up. Thank you ladies!
And what few people realize is that Jaclyn Smith delivered her speech WITHOUT A TELEPROMPTER, you can hear her mutter to Farrah Fawcett that her tribute isn't up on the screen at about 3:41. Jaclyn has aged beautifully and is one of the classiest women to ever grace the entertainment business. After all, after 50, you get the face you deserve.
Good to see these 3 together again. No disrepect to Farrah (RIP) but Farrah does not belong there, she walked away. Cheryl should be there. And yes Kate also walked away but she was on there for 3 years before leaving.
The true trio were Cheryl, Kate, and of course from beginning to end Jackie.

If I remember correctly, at this time, the one who had had the cancer scare was Jaclyn Smith in the early 2000's. It's so sad how things happen and how this vicious monster disease can kill anyone. That aside, what three beautiful goddesses!!!

Jaclyn Smith, my God the woman is just stunning, and still is! I believe she made a pact with someone or there's a painting hidden away somewhere, like "The Picture of Dorian Gray". She doesn't look like she has aged at all, and has that southern charm. :)

Again, Farrah told Barbra Walter when asked that it was difficult returning to work on Charlies Angels with Cherly Ladd. Arron Spelling specifically hired Cherly Ladd to attract Farrah's fan base to the series Farrah had a huge part in making a hit. Had Arron hired a black or asian angel to replace our Farrah perhaps she would have not felt as threatened by the younger and equally as sexy of not more, Cherly Ladd who portrayed Farrah's younger kid sis on Charlies Angels. .
Come on now. Kate was pretty darn honest about her feelings towards Cherly Ladd, the Farrah Fawcett replacement when our Farrah walked out after ONLY one season of Charlies Angels. Farrah &b Kate were close friends long after the Charlies Angels era. Both refused to have any part of both big screen versions. Cherly was never asked to be in either film. Jackie did a cameo appearance in the 2nd movie. Both films, in my opinion did not capture the essence of the series.
I completely agree w/ your post. They didn't capture the same 'vibe' as the original series. The chemistry was not even close to the original series. I felt the faintest "glimmer" when I saw Jaclyn in "Full Throttle" but then it was a bizarre tribute to the original, and felt like they didn't want to "remind us too much" of the original, and for good reason b/c the original was leaps & bounds ahead of the movie version.
I think it would have been so cool if the 3 original angels could have appeared in small bit parts in the second Charlies Angels movie. By the time they started production on the 2nd flick Farrah had her bad cosmetic surgeries corrected and she looked good, healthy again. Can you imagine how wonderful that would be now with Farrah passing away an all. Farrah looked great in the clip from the 2006 Emmy Awards. Her body in that dress looked HOT! They all looked radiant!

Yes, Jackie has aged better then all the other angels including Cherly Ladd. Farrah aged strangely. For a ,long time I thought something was wrong with her way before her cancer diagnosis. Her cheeks were all sunken in and she was so wrinkeled. She looked much older then her age. Then finally she got corrective cosmetic surgery and looked as she does in the clip, healthy, youthful (ish) Seemed like she was on her way back then the cancer diagnosis just 3 weeks after this 2006 Emmy telecast.
@settle4more: About Farrah and aging..... Well, she spent a whole lot of time in the sun (tanning & being athletic), and Farrah was a "party girl." She liked to have fun, and may have participated in activities that aren't exactly conducive to graceful aging. If you have ever seen the "All Of Me" video, then you will know exactly what I am talking about. At one point she is shown with a straw in her hand, and goes on & on & on about how she loves things that are "white." That's all I'll say
Farrah was a health nut but at some point drugs & alchol did become a problem say former lovers. Ryan O'neal himself has issues with drug and has stated Farrah had problems with booze. Blond, tan, gorgeous women always look better when they are young but yes, they age poorly it seems. Even Farrah's behavior on the David Letterman show left some wondering if she was mentally ill. The appearance on the 2006 Emmy with her former co-stars had some crossing there fingers but Farrah was just perfect

I firmly believe that she WAS playing a 'ditzy blonde" role (as she said she was) but that was not the only reason she was such a space cadet. I say that with the uttmost admiration of Farrah. I feel like her personal issues were her business, and do not/did not keep me from liking her one tiny bit.
Okay Natyra22...you actually liked Shelly Hack and Tanya Roberts? UHG! Shelly couldn't even act much less look like a Angel that would really be able to work and hang with the original 3. Tanya was too street...she took it down a notch. The only one that came after the original 3 that fit was and will remain Cheryl Ladd as Kris Munroe, Jill's little sister. They should have called it quits when Kate left. Then again I am glad they didn't because Jackyln Smith had a job.
@Kenandave: About Shelly, I thought she was a great addition to the cast. She was a typical w.a.s.p. and I also don't think the problem lie w/ her acting ability. The core of who people are show in their acting. The real "proper" way she spoke and "rehearsed" way that she carried herself WAS HER TRUE PERSONALITY. Tonya was alright also, in my opinion. In fact, we each have our own opinion & it isn't right or wrong. I disagree about Shelly, but that is your right.
Sorry, I made an error in my comment that needs corrected: Kate Jackson refused to do this reunion without Farrah Fawcett. It was a moving reunion at the time but in hine sight of coarse, it is even more moving today then it was in 2006. Farrah was diagnosed with cancer 3 weeks after this appearance. This was her last public appearance. Cherly Ladd and Jacklyn Smith will appear on the TV land awards with a tribute to Farrah & John Forsyght . David Doyle, Bosely died a 10 years ago.

However, I don't know where you sourced your information about Farrah not liking Cheryl. That is completely UNTRUE, and rather than think you are trying to be mean, I will simply say that you were misinformed. I know for a fact that Farrah DID NOT particularly dislike Cheryl. Just b/c people aren't close friends, it doesn't mean they don't LIKE each other.
Truth be told Farrah did not like Cherly. Neither did Kate Jackson. This reunion for the 2006 Emmy awards would have never happened if Cherly Ladd were to be included. Kate was particularly upset when Cherly expressed interested in being included. It almost did not happen because Kate Jackson refused to do it with Farrah. Poor Jacklyn was caught in the middle. In the end this is how it went down.

Farrarh was actaully ill at this time. She was always so athletic, and looked like a picture of health, It's hard to believe she is no longer with is. When I was young I loved her and wanted hair just like hers.
I met Kate Jackson in 1998 in Kansas City i still had my poster of her from Charlie's Angels she was surprised anyone still had one she ask me to stay and after the show she was doing she sign it for me and she did i also got two 8x10 photos sign to. She was so sweet and so very nice. these three ladies are beautiful and true TV Legends.
Sheer ironic loveliness....the publicity for years was that the original "Charlie's Angels" would never reunite. And here. like a real star maker, Aaron Spelling managed to do it- and present them as lovely and ageless as ever. (And thank God they were *all* present to be reunited.) Well done.

I'm young and I became a fan of Charlie's Angels through reruns, and although the 1st season with farrah is my favorite I think it's really unfair how Cheryl seems to be always shut out. I know Charlies Angels is most memorable with Farrah, but when it's all said and done Cherly was there 4 out 5 seasons making her the longest surviving angel next to Jaclyn. Cheryl derseves recognition with Farrah, Kate, and Jaclyn when it comes to CA. Honestly, I liked Tanya Roberts and Shelly Hack too.

I was speaking on Cheryl being shut out period when ever it comes to CA as if the show was a flop after Farrah & to my knowledge CA was still a hit once Cheryl came along & started going downhill once Kate left. I'm only 26 so I wasnt around to know much about the history, but what i do know is Cheryl was there during the CA glory days, and didnt just come along when CA had lost it's momentum like Shelly & Tonya.
@natyra22 I just discovered for the first time that Cheryl is an Evangelical Christian, so maybe that's the reason why? Either she decides not to be a part of that "world" (most evangelical celebrities shun that "worldly" past and don't embrace it anymore) or she does get shut out by "liberal" Hollywood that doesn't like overly religious celebrities. I am 41, and I grew up on this show and I never knew Cheryl was so religious.
@cjs33139 No, that's not it. I read an article about the whole Aaron Spelling tribute, and Cheryl Ladd was very hurt to have been left out. She said Kate Jackson was running things, and did not want her to be a part of it. Therefore, she was not included. Cheryl always embraces her Charlie's Angels history. She enjoys doing interviews, and never minds talking about the show.

When I saw this on TV I flipped! Seeing the three angels together brought tears to my eyes. The first three seasons of Charlie's Angels were in my opinion the best. Farrah is missed.

Well, after Farrah Fawcett turned her back on the show, it was Cheryl Ladd who kept the show going, and made it an even bigger hit in Season 2. Cheryl Ladd stayed on the show 4 years, and it's cruel to shun her. She deserves credit and recognition for her large contribution to the show, and she should have been at the reunion. Many of us started watching with Cheryl. It's WRONG to shun her fans.

And what few people realize is that Jaclyn Smith delivered her speech WITHOUT A TELEPROMPTER, you can hear her mutter to Farrah Fawcett that her tribute isn't up on the screen at about 3:41. Jaclyn has aged beautifully and is one of the classiest women to ever grace the entertainment business. After all, after 50, you get the face you deserve.

Good to see these 3 together again. No disrepect to Farrah (RIP) but Farrah does not belong there, she walked away. Cheryl should be there. And yes Kate also walked away but she was on there for 3 years before leaving.
The true trio were Cheryl, Kate, and of course from beginning to end Jackie.
Liked all though including Farrah, Shelley, and Tanya.
Cheryl and Jackie are my personal favs though.

If I remember correctly, at this time, the one who had had the cancer scare was Jaclyn Smith in the early 2000's. It's so sad how things happen and how this vicious monster disease can kill anyone. That aside, what three beautiful goddesses!!!

Farrah will be missed. There was just something about her, that mystique, that star quality.
Kate Jackson had presence and after she left the show I always felt that it simply did not feel like "Charlies Angels" anymore.
Jaclyn Smith, my God the woman is just stunning, and still is! I believe she made a pact with someone or there's a painting hidden away somewhere, like "The Picture of Dorian Gray". She doesn't look like she has aged at all, and has that southern charm. :)

What a load of crap, Spelling took Fawcett to court for breach of contract after she refused to come back for the second seasson and by court mandate she was forced to make 6 episodes as a "guest star". Kate Jackson requested a schedule review that would've allowed her to play a part in Kramer Vs, Kramer and Spelling threaten her with a law suit. She finally left after the 3rd season when Spelling did not renew her contract. GREAT GUY!!

Again, Farrah told Barbra Walter when asked that it was difficult returning to work on Charlies Angels with Cherly Ladd. Arron Spelling specifically hired Cherly Ladd to attract Farrah's fan base to the series Farrah had a huge part in making a hit. Had Arron hired a black or asian angel to replace our Farrah perhaps she would have not felt as threatened by the younger and equally as sexy of not more, Cherly Ladd who portrayed Farrah's younger kid sis on Charlies Angels. .

Come on now. Kate was pretty darn honest about her feelings towards Cherly Ladd, the Farrah Fawcett replacement when our Farrah walked out after ONLY one season of Charlies Angels. Farrah &b Kate were close friends long after the Charlies Angels era. Both refused to have any part of both big screen versions. Cherly was never asked to be in either film. Jackie did a cameo appearance in the 2nd movie. Both films, in my opinion did not capture the essence of the series.

I completely agree w/ your post. They didn't capture the same 'vibe' as the original series. The chemistry was not even close to the original series. I felt the faintest "glimmer" when I saw Jaclyn in "Full Throttle" but then it was a bizarre tribute to the original, and felt like they didn't want to "remind us too much" of the original, and for good reason b/c the original was leaps & bounds ahead of the movie version.

I think it would have been so cool if the 3 original angels could have appeared in small bit parts in the second Charlies Angels movie. By the time they started production on the 2nd flick Farrah had her bad cosmetic surgeries corrected and she looked good, healthy again. Can you imagine how wonderful that would be now with Farrah passing away an all. Farrah looked great in the clip from the 2006 Emmy Awards. Her body in that dress looked HOT! They all looked radiant!

Yes, Jackie has aged better then all the other angels including Cherly Ladd. Farrah aged strangely. For a ,long time I thought something was wrong with her way before her cancer diagnosis. Her cheeks were all sunken in and she was so wrinkeled. She looked much older then her age. Then finally she got corrective cosmetic surgery and looked as she does in the clip, healthy, youthful (ish) Seemed like she was on her way back then the cancer diagnosis just 3 weeks after this 2006 Emmy telecast.

She liked to have fun, and may have participated in activities that aren't exactly conducive to graceful aging. If you have ever seen the "All Of Me" video, then you will know exactly what I am talking about. At one point she is shown with a straw in her hand, and goes on & on & on about how she loves things that are "white." That's all I'll say

Farrah was a health nut but at some point drugs & alchol did become a problem say former lovers. Ryan O'neal himself has issues with drug and has stated Farrah had problems with booze. Blond, tan, gorgeous women always look better when they are young but yes, they age poorly it seems. Even Farrah's behavior on the David Letterman show left some wondering if she was mentally ill. The appearance on the 2006 Emmy with her former co-stars had some crossing there fingers but Farrah was just perfect

I firmly believe that she WAS playing a 'ditzy blonde" role (as she said she was) but that was not the only reason she was such a space cadet. I say that with the uttmost admiration of Farrah. Okay Natyra22...you actually liked Shelly Hack and Tanya Roberts? UHG! Shelly couldn't even act much less look like a Angel that would really be able to work and hang with the original 3. Tanya was too street...she took it down a notch. The only one that came after the original 3 that fit was and will remain Cheryl Ladd as Kris Munroe, Jill's little sister. They should have called it quits when Kate left. Then again I am glad they didn't because Jackyln Smith had a job.

The core of who people are show in their acting. The real "proper" way she spoke and "rehearsed" way that she carried herself WAS HER TRUE PERSONALITY. Tonya was alright also, in my opinion. In fact, we each have our own opinion & it isn't right or wrong. I disagree about Shelly, but that is your right.

Sorry, I made an error in my comment that needs corrected: Kate Jackson refused to do this reunion without Farrah Fawcett. It was a moving reunion at the time but in hine sight of coarse, it is even more moving today then it was in 2006. Farrah was diagnosed with cancer 3 weeks after this appearance. This was her last public appearance. Cherly Ladd and Jacklyn Smith will appear on the TV land awards with a tribute to Farrah & John Forsyght . David Doyle, Bosely died a 10 years ago.

Truth be told Farrah did not like Cherly. Neither did Kate Jackson. This reunion for the 2006 Emmy awards would have never happened if Cherly Ladd were to be included. Kate was particularly upset when Cherly expressed interested in being included. It almost did not happen because Kate Jackson refused to do it with Farrah. Poor Jacklyn was caught in the middle. In the end this is how it went down.

Cheryl deserves the respect, recognition, and credit for her huge contribution to the success of the show for so many years.

I met Kate Jackson in 1998 in Kansas City i still had my poster of her from Charlie's Angels she was surprised anyone still had one she ask me to stay and after the show she was doing she sign it for me and she did i also got two 8x10 photos sign to. She was so sweet and so very nice. these three ladies are beautiful and true TV Legends.

I'm young and I became a fan of Charlie's Angels through reruns, and although the 1st season with farrah is my favorite I think it's really unfair how Cheryl seems to be always shut out. I know Charlies Angels is most memorable with Farrah, but when it's all said and done Cherly was there 4 out 5 seasons making her the longest surviving angel next to Jaclyn. Cheryl derseves recognition with Farrah, Kate, and Jaclyn when it comes to CA. Honestly, I liked Tanya Roberts and Shelly Hack too.

I was speaking on Cheryl being shut out period when ever it comes to CA as if the show was a flop after Farrah & to my knowledge CA was still a hit once Cheryl came along & started going downhill once Kate left. I'm only 26 so I wasnt around to know much about the history, but what i do know is Cheryl was there during the CA glory days, and didnt just come along when CA had lost it's momentum like Shelly & Tonya.

@natyra22 I just discovered for the first time that Cheryl is an Evangelical Christian, so maybe that's the reason why? Either she decides not to be a part of that "world" (most evangelical celebrities shun that "worldly" past and don't embrace it anymore) or she does get shut out by "liberal" Hollywood that doesn't like overly religious celebrities. I am 41, and I grew up on this show and I never knew Cheryl was so religious.

She said Kate Jackson was running things, and did not want her to be a part of it. Therefore, she was not included. Cheryl always embraces her Charlie's Angels history. She enjoys doing interviews, and never minds talking about the show.
