  • I can change...

  • Squall, standing in the rain..."Am I all alone?"

  • I don't even know if I'm making the right choices for the long run....

  • Your still ALIVE!!!

  • 1:15

    Kind sounds like ff7.

  • love the mood-changing

  • This both beautiful and terrifying. It's a succession that is horrid and evil but it's a beautiful and wonderful thing as well... I don't know why.

  • 1:08 - 1:20 ff7 anyone?

  • @dragondook

That's 'Succession of Witches' from this game.

  • @Charmolution no... thats "Those chosen by the planet" from ff7.

  • @dragondook

Actually, I lied, it's 'Truth' from this game. (I always get those two mixed up)

    watch?v=IAvz7F67oRE

Seriously, listen to the first 12 seconds, it's pretty much the same.

  • @Charmolution I see what you mean, but beside that, there are a lot of different parts coming from FFV's airship theme. It's like a leitmotif of that exact piece. Not only that but Uematsu's style and type of mood he put in that game as well as the scales are a lot like FFV's as well as a lot of other bits of Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec.

  • 1:08 - 1:20 clear referance to the main jist of ff7's music right?

  • 1:38-1:50 love that bit

  • I love this soundtrack so much. Nobuo Uematsu is the reason I started writing music, I heard his music 10 years ago and haven't stopped writing since

  • where was this music played in the game?

  • @darkmiltonius999 SPOILER ALERT: End of the game after you beat Ultimecia.

  • @DanTheMan8819 I was just gonna ask. Is this the part where Squall goes back to the orphanage and meets Edea?

  • @Stargeek2006 I know, yet i can't stop believing. I think it's a fabulous story twist. I cannot imagine that they were not aware of the possible idea people would get when they wrote the scenario.

  • @pseudopulk I can see how one can support that theory. Like thinking Griever would be like Doomtrain and you can get him from a ring. But the fact is, Ultimecia isn't Rinoa. In the Japanese version of the game, it said Ultimecia reads Squall's mind and brings Griever to life (she brought those Iguion statues to life at the end of disc 1, so why can't she read minds, anyway, right?). But the only hint we get in the English version is in Griever's scan data, "In Squall's mind, the strongest GF".

  • beauty in 3 minutes and 38 seconds

  • how many of you guys are supporting the theory that artemisia is in fact rinoa?

  • @pseudopulk Even though Square Enix said themselves they were two different people?

  • @ShadowPhoenix789 I didn't heard that music when I decided I was going to be an NBA player.

    lol

  • This song truely shows the event of Ultimecia and her remaining struggles. She was forced to pass on her powers to Edea, an event caused by the very people who came to stop Ultimecia. A time paradox that didn't make the universe collasp under the weight.

I love this musical peice and I sort of feel bad for Ultimecia although she tried to take over the galaxy. Edea, possibly the bravest of all the people. She took Ultimecia's powers to protect her own. With the consequence of possession.

  • I...can't...disappear yet.

  • @RoldaoKanon There are no better words to describe this music

  • @Justforvisit A beautiful melody that expresses a difficult time for everyone and also a beginning of a new era that may exist ... Where the future is not only to be usurped and conquered by its own actions instead of being a tyrant who does not crave a way to reign over all existence.

  • The best music of all the Final Fantasy series!!...beautiful...

  • In the scene in the orphanage, I had the whole time I panic again must fight against them and was totally ready and thought OK When does? I'm ready! No fight next scene. Ok I'm still ready to catch. The ending starts ... no fight? Hm, I think not turn. Ending to an end. The end screen. WHERE IS THE FIGHT I KNOW WHICH HE IS! 5 minutes later .... ok there is probably not a battle more!

  • Edea and Artemisia don't like this video.

  • At 2:47 through 3:13

It makes me feel like I'm dying alone in the dark with so much blood spilling out. And I'm just slowly dying while waiting for the person I love, even through, he wont come..

  • That ending was so sad and happy at the same time.

I felt almost sorry for Ultimecia...and for Edea. At the same time I was happy I managed to have beaten her. Paradoxical..as the whole scene is.

As well as the music that's having a sad as well as an happy aspect to it.

That's something only the greatest RPG's of the world can manage to invoke in you: You kill the final boss and at the end have to cry about his / her fate and even feeling sorry about it, still you're way satisfied.

  • @Justforvisit

You are right. Your feelings after finishing this EPIC end WONDERFUL GAME are also my feelings! The game says nothing about last boss life, but FF8 leave you free, free to imagine the pain and the story of the last boss. It's great. Thank you for your contribute...i Love so much this game!

  • 0 dislikes absolutely awesome!

  • @Kjoker9 Yay, now nobody is going to leave one of those "5 people are ...." jokes. :D

At least until someone reads this and decides to dislike the video.

  • @Bateleur5 DAMN! Someone disliked it now.

THEY ARE NOT A LION. D<

  • @ShadowPhoenix789 Damn.... I'm going to college.

  • This music show is something far beyond a melody, because the emotion show that no matter which path will be pursued, but the truth may appear to go anywhere ... How many melodies composed by Nobuo master something that is a perfectly nice pass to the listener. The Successor is beautiful, perfect and not to mention the time it is broadcast shows distress, pain, suffering and the not so right for a horizon that may be close ...

    Ultimecia - I...can't...disappear yet.

  • Omg...I just remembered how much I love this song and tears came to my face ;_;

  • to me sounds like Edea is the successor sounds like her music

    It's sad

  • 0:33-0:44 James Bond theme xD

  • @JRevengeavengerY

    lmaaaao your right haha! :D

  • its a big annoying loop!!

  • I'm soooo in love with this piece! ♥

  • when was this played, the ending?

  • It's a great piece! Gotta love this game...

  • I can't quite remember the ending... who ended up being "the successor" that this music is referring to? not Rinoa... was it?

  • @billibu

Edea was the successor to Ultimecia, thus setting the plot in motion.

  • @billibu It's referencing Edea taking Ultimecia's powers so one of the children in the orphanage wouldn't have to, namely Ellone.

  • エンディングの孤児院のシーンで流れた曲。

  • "I can't disappear yet.."

  • A very powerful piece of music and written by an obvious genius, Mr Uematsu, well done sir!

  • cool its creepy and nice at the same time!!

  • During the ending, when you go back to Edea's House. I think that's the only time.

    Very bittersweet.

  • i think it was in the ligthhouse as a flashback or when they just had the flashbacks

  • It was at the end of the game, where Squall was at the lighthouse, close enough to a flashback though.

  • it's a paradoxical loop in time

  • Beautiful music!

  • if only i had a clue what u said!!! lol translator please!!

  • @chamwrld it doesn't really makes any sense, don't worry :P

  • Que wapa madre miiiiiaaaaaa
