@XORoyX That's debatable because although High Definition plasma analog sets were available in the 1990s. HD as a resolution didn't make a name for itself until the mid 2000s. If you look at the DVD format which was introduced in the late 90s at a SDTV resolution of 720x480 interlace didn't start replacing VCR technology until the early 2000s in which DVDs outsold VCR technology for the first time in 2003. Hell Blu Ray Disc wasn't introduced until 2006. These bloopers are 7 years old = SD?

@MegaDepp18 Though with the amount of cuts and flashbacks and flashforwards and imagine spots in this show, dragging a studio audience around would be a nightmare. Most sitcoms are staged kind of like short plays, which is why studio audiences usually work, but HIMYM is NOTHING like a play.

I heard they used to take the finished product, play it in front of an audience, and then use that laughter for the show, but they've since switched to a laugh track.
