Steve is the best soul guitarist in the world and I SAW him in Guy Sebastians show 2 weeks ago! He was with the MGs, u no booker T & the MGs? well it was Lester SNell who was playing keys and Steve Potts drums and Duck Dunn on bass. And they were AWESUM!

the MGS/original Blues Bros band(MGs still tour with Booker T at times)are touring with Guy Sebastian (try allmemphismusic dot com, livestream)
part of review Feb28, Sebastian is a genuinely rare talent, a charismatic singer with not just a sensational voice but with great feel, a performer that knows his place in a song.
Rave review all round, great bass, "Duck" Dunn snt Guy msge, "thnx for having me on the tour (08) I'm having a ball & its an honour to play with you". these guys R real musos
Steve Cropper, r & b guitarist extraordinaire, the man was there co-writing songs and playing guitar for all those Stax/Volt soul classics coming out of Memphis in the 60's. His contributions cannot be praised enough for those of us who still appreciate this kind of music.
I have to say it is cool to be called to the stage to sing soul man i got it done to me and my mate when they were in london got called on to the stage with Eddie Floyd (nice Guy) was very cool
duuude!!! tick number 5 in your list of things to do before you die off: Perform Soul-Man with Steve Cropper on stage.
Wait check that: Get called out of the audience to perform Soul-Man with Steve Cropper on stage!! steps back and bows... Seeing things like that make me hate living in Australia.
yeah? Well that Guy Sebastian not only got to sing Soul Man with Steve Cropper on his latest album BUT they were jammin at BB Kings Blues Bar most nights apparently! Bloody just came across a video on here where Steve actually speaks about Guy. "He's mind bogglin'" sez Steve AND GUY IS AUSTRALIAN!
For sure...I remember seeing Steve Cropper and Donald "Duck" Dunn when they use to play with Booker T. and the M.G.'s...wow..and Cropper's style, he still has his mojo working...SALUTES and APPLAUSE...
KNOW WHAT ? I WAS THERE, FIRST 'ROUND JANUARY '76, DID "BOULE NOIRE & MSS", WENT BACK IN MAY AND DID "TOOULOUSE": ALL RECORDINGS PUBLISHED THROUGH "THE MAGIC RECORDS LABEL", WHICH EXPLAINS THE RECORD JACKET OF TOULOUSE IF YOU VISIT CLIPS "MUSCLE SHOALS SOUND".

Cropper could play circles around most guitar players, but he knows that feel is more important than flash. Never seen him sing before.
