I liked the Flamethrower Dalek different-style arm, but not the flame - (1), it seemed to have a broken end, and (2) you couldn't opt to detach it. Hope the new CO Flamethrower Dalek may allow us to remove the actual "Flame" - we'll know by Christmas!
MAtt, I think your gold one broke because in the 1980's and up till the mid 1990's, gold pastic (the swirly ones) would get brittle, due to the chemical composition, and would either snap or crumble. Transformers made in those days were some of the biggest victims, Black Zarak, one of the most wanted, and expensive TFs, would end up having broken/disintegrated pieces, even when mint and sealed in their boxes. Be cool if CO could buy the rights to the Dapol stuff and sell em like with star wars
Matt, back in 1997, I saw a Davros and Dalek 8 pack box here in the states, in a public flea market and with a price tag of $75.00, and by the time I saved up for it, someone beat me to it. Never saw any of those since.
Also, in the Dapol days, these WERE the most accurate Daleks we had...I mean look at the Louis Marx Daleks from the 60's and 70's, or the "Coneheads" as I called them. You had Daleks to fight your Stormtroopers or kill you GI Joes if you wanted. :)
@mcdaleklover Dapol doesn't exist anymore sadly. Although i remember them always being quite expensive even over here. When i went to their Doctor Who experience in Llangolen (sorry if thats spelt wrong) i paid around £12 for a red and black Dalek. Doesnt sound very expensive but it is really for what it is
I remember the Llangollen exhibition. At the time, I was only interested in the railway stuff but my mum & dad took us into the Doctor who exhibition below. That got me fixed on doctor who & I've always remembered a gold dalek behind a barred door like a prison & they had a black dalek outside. They also had a voice changer as well. My parents shouted the immortal words EX-TER-MIN-ATE & I said (quite sheepishly) Hello lol. Looking back it was a great thing but at the time it wasn't my thing
i had 3. I had a silver one (cant find it) a black one (broken) a white and gold one (customised with large ball over top section and painted gold to look like the comic emperor daleks)
Nice vid, very jealous of that set of '60's esque daleks. I've actually got about half of the ones you mentioned, even a millennium dalek, a silver sparkled and gold hemisphered one [just about the best looking one I saw out of the set], it was very useful for transmat effects when I was younger. There was also one more version of the Davros figure that I know of, a very inaccurate painted one, gold hemispheres.
Dapol dosnt exist now, pitty, the 60's set is a good set and idea, I've got a Dapol Green Dalek, that came out with a bad color design, and If got the first ever Dalek out, Im gonna put it on Youtube, right now I'v got up my Dapol Patrick Troughton figure, cheack out my channel :)
Thanks for the video! I've been so excited for your Dapol Dalek review! Thanks for the peek at your collection. Though I was hoping you'd go more into the details of why they're not so great; I've bought a few of my own off of eBay and I keep hearing people saying that they're not accurate and they fall apart a lot.
You give us a great Look at figure I never thought existed....I mean I had a few dapols but i never knew there was a full dalek set with flamethrower and mutant
I'm getting the yellow eternal one on Friday!

These look like good army building Daleks, but the problem is that they look really fragile and easily cracked.
