  • what is sea foaming?

  • Oil pump and timing chain

  • Valve lash is out of adjustment. Common problem, and normal. Just pop the valve cover off, and readjust according to specs. ticking goes away.

  • HOW IS THE TRUCK DOING?

  • all that knocking open the door

  • put a quart of mmo in the oil it will help

  • all the 22re's i had with that noise the timing chian needed replaced on them

  • Turkish Golds? my nigga

  • Nectar of the gods.

  • i dont think you let it set long enough, i waited about 15 mins and then cranked it up.

  • Hey davros142 It sounds like that ticking in your car is a tapping valve. If you know about cars or you should take your car to a mechanic to have it checked out.

  • @earlybird38 timing chain i owned 4 of these 22re's and evertime that noise turned out to be a timing chain

  • Did you put some in the fuel tank?

  • you should invest in some funnels

  • From the sound of that thing your timing chain guides are broken.. left long enough the chain will wear through the timing cover and let the antifreeze into the crankcase.... then she just comes to a squeeky halt...and thats a bad thing

  • When you seafoam a 22RE, use the PCV vacuum line, not the brake booster line. Water works as well or better.

  • incidentally there is an exhaust leak! sounds like its near the headers.

  • @jschirr this does not have headers... it just has the stock manifolds

  • and buy deep creep for the air intake.

  • def needed more in the brake booster line.

  • It looks like you didn't add enough through the brake booster vacuum line and your not supposed to rev it like that let it idle until the smoke starts to clear then drive a little while and after 5 or 10 minutes of driving normally drive it at high rpm.

  • Do you have to do all three location or can I just pour it on gas tank? 1/3 of the can?

I also heard if you pour it in Oil, you have to change the oil. So do this before you change oil.

  • you have an exhaust leak BTW. as soon as you started revving

  • he stated he does, mr observant

  • Eat my asshole dude, your a fag

  • your the one asking me to eat your asshole

i think that makes you the fag here

  • what is seafoaming? keep me posted thanks :)

  • cleans every thing out

  • 'seafoam' is a product that stablizes fuel (when added to the gas tank) and removes carbon gunk build up inside the motor and fuel system - injectors (when added to the air intake or engine oil). i'd forsure recomend this to any gas engine especialy cars over 100,000 miles give or take.

  • I HEARD HIM!

  • omg that thing is in such bad shape......do yourself a favor dont buy senseless things as seafoam save your money for valves and a cat matter fact just buy something else

  • its not that bad. maybe reset the valves but besides that it sounds like any other good Toyota 4 cylinder

  • Does anyone know if seafoam will help with cleaning up the engine to get ready for smog? in order to HELP pass smog with flying colors offcourse.

  • its probably to late, but yes it does.. just make sure all the seafoam is burnt out of the system before you take it in.

  • So is your friend Les Stroud?

    Because he sounds like him.

  • that thing has a bad knock!

  • you need a valve adjustment

  • haha he was right, at first smoke came from under the car, frickin exhaust leaks

  • i think 1 of your valves are messed up

  • @SY1WEK sounds definately out of posotion

  • amm u have a leack in ur exaust system

  • Do you know why ur engine is dirty?

Because you use a conventional oil every 5000 miles. I have a toyota van with 260.000 on it and the engine still clean and without knocking. Because i use syntetic oil every 5000 miles

  • the cleanliness doesnt affect the knocking, its that it didnt have enough oil or the oil wasnt pumping right, didnt lubricate the engine. prolly a slightly bent rod or something. synthetic is better, but it doesnt flow through the entire engine. the seafoam cleans areas where carbon builds up, spots where engine oil doesnt clean, like when you put it in the gas it cleans ur fuel injectors. i dont know why u assume they use conventional, or why u assume thats what makes it dirty

  • Please stop telling ppl to thin out their oil by pour pure petroleum in the crank case!

  • may i suggest not high revving on a cold start.

  • when I seafoam my jeep I pour it straight into the throttle body because then it cleans that to, plus I was worried about it making the vacuum lines brittle.

  • Yea it can dry up rubber and seals, its a good idea to use some seal revitalizer stuff after using this, It made my car burn oil till the seal junk then it was better than before the seafoam.

  • 22RE, Seafoam or not that engine will last you a lifetime.

  • so whats the whole point of Seafoam and what does it do to the engine?

  • i heard it makes it run smoother but it will ruin ur engine

  • it doesnt ruin you're engine. it's made to clean your engine.

  • YES I can hear you! LOL, my 4runner same year but the bastard 6cyl model, just died leaving the driveway don't know if it is ignitor or coil or timing belt,

    The Adventure Begins!

  • 22re all the way darn 3.slow always has issues

  • your toyota needs a valve adjustment that will stop the ticking.

  • Diesel fuel does the same thing......

  • diesel doesnt clean out everything from manifold to manifold retard

  • i think he said "i know it kinda sounds like a diesel, i know i havent work at it"

i dont think its a diesel engine

  • You need to shut it off faster next time for the full cleaning effect.

  • what was the result??? did u get more power??

  • It did run better.

  • fenderguitarist probably had the 3.0L V6 that had the headgasket recalled. The early 3L's in the 1st gens didnt have problems

  • dude get that looked at sounds like my bmw did and i had to replace the motor

  • motors fine just needed a valve adjustment

  • ahh ok.. mine died lol and smoke blew out just like that lol but i didint use seafoam lol

  • to bad you didn't get that on video

  • crazy yotas hahaha yah theyll run forever

  • motor sounds like a spun bearing

  • wut is sea foam 4?

  • It cleans the injectors and cylinders some what

  • oh okay....did ur 4runner have a bad engine, and always get recalled, our '91 did a LOT. and we r still getting recals after we sold it lol. it was a nice truck 4 a while...the 1st generations had better engines though

  • you don't need seafoam u need a new engine.

  • the tc was done about 60k ago

  • sounds like crap but itll still run forever

  • You'd better seafoam your brain ( if you do have 1...).

  • sounds like u need a rebuild... lots of knocking

  • Seafoam when poured into the brake booster cleans the top end of the engine.

You can also pour some in your gas.

  • what the hell is the point

  • what idiot smokes anyway u fuk wit
