  • Love it all. Only issue is with the production quality of the vocals. Way too hot in some areas. But the song itself is fantastic.

  • Yet another bland film. Self-indulgent to the point of masturbatory, its pretension (much like the music that accompanies it) is that the beauty is in the details. The harsh reality is that it is not--the artist quite simply has nothing to say.

  • Man, what is it about film? The feel is just so distinct. I love the fact that someone is actually still using film in such a time that is so heavily dominated by digital video. To actually get the shots right the first time instead of relying on post-production is a true art form! Not just shoot digital & create the "film look" in post. Way to keep it real!!! I also love the fact that the negative comments are all by new accounts. Go waste space on someone else...

  • Well shot and superbly edited! Regardless of your preference to straightforward narrative or stylized aesthetic, you must appreciate the craft and execution of this video.

  • this is a beautiful song....... i have been lost my whole life......learning to be ...... : )

  • Love the film! I think it not only fits the song perfectly, but also adds a new dimension as well. Great work and congratulations!

  • I thought this film was beautiful & I appreciate the filmaker using old equipment "old school" style. I can imagine it was a tough decision to make to choose the winner & I kind of feel like there really should have been more consideration for "runners up". I don't know what was won, except it might have been aired as "The" video representing the song now, since the film inception. I must confess & say, although I agree this film deserves accolades, I was personally taken by nunobarbosa's film!

  • Sorry, but, while some nice visuals, it lost me half-way out of boredom...

  • I really wish i have won this contest with my video, but i have to congrat you for winning!

Just a technical question: the red light leaks in the beggining and in some cuts are digital post production or real burned film?

Best wishes for the future and upcoming work!

  • @nunobarbosa77 Thanks... It is such a subjective thing. All that you see in this video is on film, no digital effects. It was shot on 50D vision 2 kodak stock, and was telecined by Cinelicious. I am a huge fan of film, but it is rather difficult to make 40+ year old equipment play nicely. It is all shot on a beaulieu r-16 with a modified gate to allow for the 16:9 ratio. It is pretty wild to go from modern equipment to something like this...

Best wishes to you as well, and keep it up.

  • @codependency I wish I can put my hands on that kind of equipment!! Keep it up!!

  • no good guys... put just a little more effort in if you want the video to really affect the viewer

  • true that, guys... i am so sick of hipsters adding random filmburn and thinking theyre being creative. thumbs down if you know anything about film.

  • @ibergman100 Brand new account to make this comment? Hmmmm

  • @davidalfincher finally, somebody said it. i completely agree, this film pales in comparison to many of the other submissions to this contest. i'm really not sure what the band was thinking on this one.
