  • got mine for christmas and I use it EVERYDAY geez... no one told me this~~~

  • @Wacom , how come when i go to the wacom site i cannot order any new nibs? says they are "out of stock"...gg? tablet= useless with no nibs...wtf how are u even ever out of 1 inch black pieces of plastic...-.-

  • Hey! Thanks so much for the video!

  • I can't pull my nib out D: I don't know what to do :c

  • I am able to take my pen nib out but for some reason when whenever I put a new one in, any size, it goes too far in and I don't press hard when using my tablet :(:( Please help me someone!!

  • mine got flat after a month

  • nvm. started using it and it got shorter -w-... im stupid.

  • Would you be able to use the other side of the pen nib aswell? or will it effect it somehow? Mine got really short. Like it was almost down to the base of the pen, but i managed to get it out, thank god. But i just turned it around and it was long enough. The only thing is it has a flat tip with sharper edges rather then a rounded tip. Will it scratch the tablet?

  • Why the hell do they make the barrel of the pen so long when you only get to use about 1/6 of the nib? That annoys the hell out of me. So you're left with alllllll this nib and can't even draw with it. What a waste.

    Artist problems.fuckshitgoddamn.

  • @MrCharlestheman best part, you can't even order new nibs off their site, and thats the only place to get new ones..gg wtf am i supposed to do?

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks^^....

  • i did it on the first day you fat fuck!

  • mines not even flat, it just doesn't work

  • What if you run out of pen nibs ? can you just buy more nibs from the makers of the tablet ?

  • @thaXXMienXX yep

  • I've tried to get my nib out wiv tweasers but the nib wont come out :/

  • Thank you very much! I tought it was so much hard but is very easy!...and finally i know how to us the metal ring that comes with the tablet XD ... thanks again :3

  • I've been using mine for months and I didn't need to replace it, what are you guys talking about?

I don't care how frequently you used it, there's no way you used it more than I did in an almost one-year period.

Maybe you just have insanely high standards for how sharp the nib should be...

  • Oh man I was looking all over for my nibs. Cause lately I was noticing this thing was getting lower and lower. At first I thought it was made like that and I forgot, till as I said before it was getting lower. And I'm so happy I found them. Eventually I'm gonna have to replace them. And this vid's gonna help a lot.

  • Ooh! Finally I wound this. :3 Thank you! But it would be nice, if Wacom could put a manual with Bamboo.

  • @Tzealand *found XD

  • You need to turn your nib over to the sharp side and use that before anything. XD so stingy.

  • Do the CTH 460 nibs work for the CTH 470?

  • Comment removed

  • lol, "They dont last forever". My new Wacom Bamboo fun pen & touch M pen nib was nearly gone in 4 days..

  • Tweezers also work just fine.

  • Shit, I just use my teeth. xD

  • I guess your screwed if the nib is too low for you to pull out -____- I wish I knew this sooner

  • @die2dayincboa

You can use a safety pin and jab it into the nib to pull it out.

It's what I did because my nib was too short for pliers. n_n

  • @zelda6543 It worked! I used a sewing needle lol I poked myself alot before it was out :/

  • @zelda6543 *____* thank you so much ^w^

  • @die2dayincboa Totally the same here! But what did you ended up doing?? Because seems like the nib won't come out even when I use the metal helping ring that comes with it...

  • @die2dayincboa use a needle if its too low, stab, pull.

  • Thank you so much. It didn't mention it in the manual and I was wondering what that ring-like thing was aswell. Just found out it's to pull the nib out :P

  • i used my teeth to open it up <.<

    xD

  • BAMBOO USES A LOT OF CAPS

  • the pliers are really rusty... O.o

  • I changed my nib but it won't stay in, it keeps falling out.

  • @4evaSoshi I had the same problem and I worried that maybe I broke it. He says in the video that you just have to push in gently until it stops. I tried and now mine won't slide out. Just try pushing it in gently until it catches. You'll know when it's secure inside when it happens.

  • @CelestialZephyr Yea I finally got it to stay in, when it happened I thought it broke for a second haha. Thank you. =)

  • @4evaSoshi I'm glad to hear that. :)

  • Thanks so much you savde me now I can finelly draw again!!!!!!!!!!!!! T^T

  • @BWSTICKSLES This is my exact same story. Glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem.

  • Do i need to replace the nib?My pen stopped working and i don't know why, like, the tablet knows the pens on in,but when it can't move the mouse.it stills lets me move with my hand but yeah

  • @PivotSideEffects The same thing was just happening to me. I fixed it by reinstalling the drivers.

  • @LintuLollypop i fixed it by reverting it to default settings

  • @Sinne The same thing happened to me, it was too far in and I couldn't get the nib out with tweezers or pliers. Eventually I got two needles, had someone hold down the pen, pricked the the needlepoints into what was left of my nib and after a a few finger stabbings got it out. You could give that a go if you've got sewing needles laying around.

  • mine's lasted me 4 years. now i can't get the fucking thing out to replace it.

    ffffffffffffffuu

  • @Nanmios thats what I thought. so explain?

  • can somebody tell me who this NANIMIOS guy is?? because its clear he needs to calm his ass down and stop making HIMSELF LOOK LIKE AN IGNORANT JACK ASS by being a douche to everybody and if he/she happens to be reading this, you need either of these 3 things

    1) GET LAID ( seriously, only a person who's sexually stressed gets pissed off about pens)

2)CONSIDER OTHER PEOPLE"S ISSUES (becuz shit man, sometimes the factory doesn't make the same nib)

    3) CALM YOUR NIBS (reference to calm ur small d**k)

  • @TheRockyCrowe THANK YOU brother

  • @TechWings NP, usually I don't jump in Youtube fights (becuz USUALLY theres a reason on both sides) but this guy was just a flat out asshole. sheesh.. ><

  • @Nanmios really? it has been 3 and half days since I put in the extra nib supplied, I have been using my tablet and pen more frequently and just as hard. my nib still looks new. my hypothesis was that it would flatten... but I was wrong. explain this?

  • @Nanmios Not really my business, but you must be from the "ignorant" gene pool then. Some people prefer having to actually press with the pen to get results. For example, while using the pen like a traditional pencil, it is very easy for it to develop a flat side or wear out without using much pressure, or causing damage to the tablet.

  • @Nanmios im sure if you were involved in customer service and someone asks a similar problem a smartacular response wouldnt be expected.

    And its out now.

  • @Nanmios funny this... I wrote one sentence expressing my confusion and you reply in paragraph bigger than the nib! You are the true fool letting things like this bother you and from a first impression, someone that needs to open his/her mind.

  • I've had my pen since august and have only needed to change it now

  • I did it with my teeth, ahahaha

  • I have had mine 2 days and I already have a flat edge on it u_u not sure I wanna keep working with it if it's going to run down that quick. I draw a lot

  • mine got flat after 2 days, maybe i press to hard?

  • @TechWings i raped mine in a few days due to Osu! lol

  • I got my bamboo fun a week ago and i had to change the tip already...

I think they have different definitions of a "long time".

  • @Smileee69 I had mine for years, and never had to change it

  • Wacom pens should work like mechanical pens where you press the "eraser" thing and you can actually use more of the nib

  • I got a tablet 5 days ago, and the pen nib is already worn down like that.

    That took so long!

  • I have had my bamboo tablet for just 5 days and my nib is fairly worn down. I have had the pen on the softest setting, and now the pen's accuracy is absolutely terrible. About 75% of the time, straight lines get terrible jitter and sharp points, either at the center or end of the line. Am i seriously going to need to replace my nibs every week?

  • hi. I just have a question about my pen&touch tablet. I got it yesterday, it worked normal, but today it just doesnt respond to either touch or pen. What happened ?

  • @nataliawasilewska97 same here! It's bugging me like MAD!

  • @GreyApple222 you know what ? plug it again and if it doesnt work restart your computer. Worked for me :)

  • @nataliawasilewska97 Hahaha, That's what I did last night :)

  • @nataliawasilewska97 Did you restart your computer yet? It does that sometimes, you probably just need to restart your computer. :)

  • mine lasted 7 months

  • one question: what is the "recomended minimum nibs size"?

cuz my nib has sort of a flat side (usualy my thumb is on the buttons :p) and don't wanna risk no being able to remove it.

  • When I bought my bamboo I didn't get a pen stand o-o

    or is that sold separately?

  • I think wacom needs to stop using the Royal Canterlot Voice.

  • mine lasted 5 days.wtf man.

  • can u just flip the side of the pen nip that you removed? :3

  • @PinkSakuraFlower1 That's exactly what I was thinking.

  • Hello, please help me... my pen is not working any more I don't know what is wrong with it, the eraser works but the pen doesn't, I tried and changed the nib but nothing changed! Checked the preferences and nothing! please HELP!! mine is BAMBOO pen and touch HELP !!

  • @LamaSword1 DUDDDDEEE!! I can help U! The same problem just happened to me 10 minutes ago! but here! this is how u fix it:

Get a small pair of scissors.

tilt the pen facing down (have the nib area on a solid surface).

CAREFuLY dig the sharp end of the scissors (or sumthin with a sharp point) over the part of whats left of the nib.

SLOWly but with Force! inch the half nib out by constant digging.

DoNe and Done Xp hope it helped ya!

  • I changed my nib in two weeks actually :D... maybe I overused it but it seemed to me that it deteriorates very quickly

  • @Marner0501 Really? :O mine lasted for a year and a half! and I'm just now having to change it! And I draw a hell-of alot. :D

  • @TheRockyCrowe : Hm... very interesting. Which tablet? I think that certain nibs may last longer than others, but that's just a guess I'm throwing out there with nothing to support it. It's possible.

  • yo dawg i herd u need a nib to ur pen?,

so u put a nib on ur nib so the nib is in da pen when the new one is on da nib and u get longer nib to paint wit pen and nib

  • I changed my nib and my pen is still not working, but the eraser dose!

    please help!

  • My pen nib was too short to get out with tweezers, but after some work, I was able to get it out by burrowing into it with a safety pin and nudging it out that way.

  • mines way to short it just dosent get a grip?!?!?!?

    can anybody help me!!!

  • Comment removed

  • My "nib" (why do they call it that??) is about 6 years old and still perfect. I don't use it everyday - not often at all actually - but it's still in fantastic shape.

  • My pen(intuos4 pen) or rather pen nib developed a flat surface after just 3-4 hours of work. I've worked with older models before and never even seen it happen. I probably haven't got the right technique(I guess) but that seems just a tiny bit to fast. One should be able to manufacture one oneself. I mean why not steel? As long as it's smooth it shouldn't damage the tablet.

  • Call me an idiot.I had no idea about replacing the pen nibs so I bought a new pen for 30 bucks. And now I watched this video and I found out there was replacement nibs on my bamboo case.

    Moral of this story is:

F*CK! ("*" IS FOR U JUST IN CASE YOU ARE AS IDIOT AS I AM.)

  • I was on your website a few minutes ago, I'm from the USA, I was wondering how the heck can I find nibs for my pen ?? I have a Bamboo Pen ( CTL) and can;t find nibs they're all for other pens, if anyone can please help me it will be greatly greatly appreciated.

  • this is actually really helpful hehe (i was trying to unscrew the main pen whoops) although can someone tell me what the little metal ring i got with my bamboo fun is its got me curious owo

  • FUCK !!!!!!!!!!!! I CANT GET MINE OUT JKADJFSIKFJ!

  • "push it softly till it stops"

  • When all my pen nibs are gone, WHERE CAN I BUY MORE?!

  • @thebrawlgamerxD He said it, the WACOM estore.

  • @McSaibot Yeah, I already know that. o_o

  • mines worn down to the point where its flat. literally where its flat where the pen tip is with none of it out to draw on. Cant use tweezers or the pliers since it cant be grabbed. do i have to buy a new stylus??

  • What?! Extra nibs? I never got extras with my Bamboo Fun and my current nibs are getting short...

  • @KonnichiwaSushi because then the tablet would be like ripped up, cause some times you push on the able ;] and the nibs worth like 4 euros ;} and you dont change them soo many times, i have this graphic tablet for 2 yrs and i never changed the nib ;V

  • dammmn....I wish I knew about this BEFORE I lost my set of replacement nibs... T_T

  • "It could happend to you."

  • Thanks for the advice...

  • Sir, you have no idea the extent to which this video has given me aid. Granted, I don't have the money at the moment for replacement nibs, but lord knows that now, I don't have to spend 20 to 30 something dollars for a full replacement pen now!

  • can it be opened another way? (my brother used it till there was no room to pull it)

  • I've been using my pen pretty brutally for three years and I'm still using the same nib... It's not that bad. I wish I had a new nib since I hear it makes the sensitivity amazing, but I'm not that fussed about it.

  • @cyaftie Yeah, me too. I bought my tablet about two years ago and I never had to replace the nib before...

  • uh mine is stuck....

  • These nibs for Fun are so much worse than the previous tablets. I just bought mine this year and the nib is done already. The old wacom I had, the nib never wore down. Load of BS.

  • "It takes a long time for this to happen"

I bought my Wacom tablet less than a month ago and I have to change the nib. Isn't a "long time" a bit of an exaggeration?

  • @mycornu I've had mine for over a year and I still don't need to change it. I use it almost everyday, too.

Maybe you tend to press down real hard?

  • @mycornu Yes lol I had to replace mine after 6 hours of use : (

  • @mycornu it depends on how much you use it

  • @mycornu YES IT IS! i thought it will last a bit... but hell no way on earth. im learning to paint without actually touching the tablet phisically by the pen... they know how to get more clients HE-HE.

  • @mycornu A month? I've had it for about a week and I'll have to change it soon

  • @mycornu Honestly, a month is quite long...I wish mine had lasted that long...I had to change it after a week. -.- (been drawing a lot lately...)

  • @xFirebird925x Me too lol...

  • @mycornu : Wow dude, no lie! The wacom bamboo connect is the second tablet I've ever had, it's my second day having it, and my pen nib already has a sharp point! I can tell this is only going to last for around 3 weeks MAXIMUM.

  • @mycornu I bought mine a week ago.

  • @mycornu Protip: you can use fish lines made of nylon as a nib. Just buy a line with the same mm of the nib, cut, polish and is ready to use.

  • i used nail clippers instead of tweezers and cut the nib in half, now its stuck there forever :/

  • @kitkatishy Ugh! I did the same thing today without thinking! Did you buy a new pen?

  • @gurlsluvchocolate no i just borrow my sisters cus she doesn't use it aha. but you may be able to take it apart i dont know :s

  • @kitkatishy Lol no I did what one person said. They said to hold the pen diagonally and scrape the nib with a knife until it slides out and it actually worked! XD I was so happy!

  • Okay my nib was too small to remove it that way, so i stabbed it with a sharp ended tweezer, and yanked it out sideways, if you get what i mean and if this helps, thumbs up for people to see!

  • ok, so i don't have a Bamboo tablet. i have a Trust one. but i couldn't find anything

on the website to tell me how to get the nib out! Thanks loads!!!!!! :)

  • MY TABLET HAS BEEN REVIVED!

  • I have a Question, I've been using the Bamboo Pen for a few months now and everyetime I use it to draw, it just stops working and if I stop using for a while it starts working again normally, I just want to know how I can fix this, do I have to get new nibs or is it that my bamboo pen doesn't work ?

  • My nib cut off, leaving 0.1 inch of nib on the pen. Now I can't grab or pull out the nib. What should I do? This is stupid design.

  • @kjih03 If it's pretty much useless right now, put a little bit of super glue on the tip of something that fits the hole, press against the residual nib and hope for it to dry hard enough so you can pull it, it should come out easy

  • I've always pronounced Wacom as Way Com. :L

  • @ThomasAndBen Whack'em tablets are the best...

  • omg i didnt get a holder with my purchase =(

  • Thanks for the video when I don't know where I hide my manual is.

  • Um.. my new nib isnt staying in...

  • @WakaLaka0 Me too! I had no idea what they were until now. XD

  • gahhhhh how do i get the old nib out if the 'flat side' is heaps small? Is there someway to take the pen apart then put it back together again safely?

  • i changed the pen tip and now my tablet doesn't respond to my pen. only when my finger touched the tablet. and i can't turn off the touch sensor

  • I lost my pen! Dx

  • what if i run out of nibs ??

  • My nibs won't fit :| I got a bamboo fun forever ago for christmas and just recently started playing around with it. When I tried to replace a nib though the ones I had got for free with my pen didn't work :|

  • It took me 1 week to develop a flat side :(

  • What about the base for the grip pen on a wacom cintiq 12wx? Does that open up as well? I bought mine on Ebay and it did not come with all the instructions, drivers etc. Just the tablet, connectivity accessories for your PC and the grip pen and base.

  • I ran out of nibs.... I liked changing them so much... o.o Can I buy new ones or was that supposed to be a lifetime supply? :c

  • @WakaLaka0 OKAY DAVE

    WE KNOW YOU'RE EXCITED

  • that was great...when you said to blow in the hole. that worked for me to correct my pen tip to work. thank !!!!

  • My wacom p+t nib developed a flat side. All I did was remove the nib, rotate it 180 degress and put it back in. Now the other side is exposed while the flat side is out of contatct.

  • @WakaLaka0

Your comment... has made my day. Thank you

  • Me: *checks pen* Where's my extra nibs?

Mother: You mean those plasticky bits? I threw them out.

    Me. (O_O) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • @tensachan LOL thats quite unfortunate

  • Mine is too short to get it out with tweezers what should i do DX

  • @TheFelixWolf Use your teeth. There handy little buggers XD

  • @TheFelixWolf Try holding it diagonally to the table, maybe a washcloth, and take something that actually has a hold on the nib(I used a knife) and try scraping it out.

  • Lol all this time I was trying to take the pen apart to change the nib. Thank god I watched this video! XD

  • Comment removed

  • I CHANGED MY NIB AND NOW IT WORKS!!!!

  • OH GOD, I'VE BEEN SAYING WACOM WRONG ALL THIS TIME AND I NEVER EVEN KNEW IT.

  • i have a pen and touch

do we ever change the top part of the pen (eraser i guess??) or is it even suppose to touch the pad itself? i dont know much about that part

  • @garyshaunter280zx I think the top part isn't supposed to degrade. If you need to change it I think you'd be better off getting a new pen. D:

  • thanks billy mays

  • it could happen to you :/

  • Why can't they just make a metal nib? >:0
