It's so hard to find decent TV show nowadays but Chuck is brilliant. OK, they copied some ideas from another tv show Jake 2.0 but they improved them and made more interesting. Zachary Levi is awesome. Yvonne Strahovski is beautiful and looks believable in fight scenes. Adam Baldwin and Sarah Lancaster are cool too. Jordana Brewster is my favorite cameo star

But the core of who Chuck is hasn't changed just because he's now able to defend himself and fight alongside of Sarah and Casey instead of behind them. He's still that sweet guy who doesn't believe in hurting anyone and wants to always do the right thing. I still love him and I think the show had to evolve like this or else it would have grown stagnant, but I get where you're coming from. :)

I think Papa Bartowski and Shaw will be the one that dies. Probably because of the explosion at Buy More. But, Chuck will probably be caught in it and thought dead. Sarah will probably be seen reading his spy will. But at the last minute of the episode, it is shown that Chuck's alive, but gets amnesia and only retains memories prior to intersect.

Scott Bakula aka Steven Bartowski makes the most sense for the suggested "major" death in the season finale. He's both a well-developed character (and very solid actor in this role), but also not an essential character. Certainly his death could drive Chuck to leave the BuyMore and become more withdrawn from his family/friends, right as Ellie finds out about his secret.
Also Shaw as an arch-enemy is a cool idea, even beyond this season ...
