  • Have the scope now. The pump action in house of dead 3 does not work correctly. Can you confirm this? Also if i point out side the screen it reloads when i point back at the screen. And some time it reloads pointing on screen by pressing trigger and reloads after every shot or two shots if i trigger quikly, without autoreload on. Opened the rifle and every knob worked fine and in the menus the pump-action triggers the b button without a mis. Did anyone had this? I can try replacing the switches

  • Think we finally found gameplay you're good at! ;) I have completely missed this review, and its good as always. Good job!

  • The LCD scope was phenominal in the arcade.

  • Right through the FACE.

  • Wow, that's quite advanced for a light gun, loads of features there :o)

  • Hmmm youtube doesn't seem to be getting rid of the black borders this time, although i've now tracked the fault down to encoder issue, so it shouldn't be a problem in future, apologies all (full screen still works)

  • So I now older light guns like the NES zapper and Master System Light Phaser won't work on modern LCD tv's, does this gun work fine on LCD's?

  • @cobradvs no it doesnt unfortunately, if you want an LCD capable lightgun, you want the EMS Topgun, its a japanese thing i think i have 2 for my mame cab and they work using IR lightbars instead, they're compatible with the xbox, though i've never used them as such

  • @ReplayRetro Oh ok cool. I just picked up a gun for my Wii so maybe I'll just stick to shooters for that. It did always baffle me that light guns don't work on LCDs though. Even the SNES super scope doesn't work and it has a thing you have to put up on your TV very much like the Wii Sensor bar. But oh well, great episode by the way, that super scope game looks awesome!

  • @cobradvs the SNES super scope uses the box on top of the tv as a wireless receiver for the actual controls, its not used for the actual targeting at all. basically all old school lightguns use on screen flashes to identify where they're being pointed at the moment of firing, or constant light feedback for cursor type movement as far as i'm aware. basically LCD and Plasma TVs don't handle the light in the correct way for these guns

  • @ReplayRetro Oh ok I didn't know that about the super scope, thanks for clearing that up

  • @cobradvs no worries, don't forget to take a look at my review of the scope & menacer :)

  • @ReplayRetro actually its weird that you say that because it just occurred to me. When I was looking at getting either the menacer or super scope, I watched your comparison video and thus I got the super scope due to your video. haha

  • @cobradvs you heard it here first folks! consumer advice brought to you by ReplayRetro!

  • Looks like a fun game, never used pelican before, might have to look into getting one, I have HOTD on the Dreamcast. Its a shame the 360 never got a light gun

  • @Rockythefishman im amazed Kinect hasn't led to one yet, after all Sony have used the playstation move system to make an insanely accurate light gun, so why Microsoft are so far behind i don't know

  • Great video as always, as a big fan of lighgun games, i had so many when i had the psone and 2, and even the few dreamcast one, i still have the xbox and the silent scope lightgun, i could not use it with silent scope complete, though, and just played it with the controller, but did use if for house of the dead 3.

  • @squirm13 light guns are great, a simple way of adding new involvement to a game, and its really good to see them coming back now that the wii can do the same kinda thing on an LCD, and PSMove is pretty good at it too

  • What can I say. That games great, your great, your great at the game. How long before a Tv deal comes a knockin. The show is just getting better in my opinion and I loved the gameplay, made me wanna play it.

  • @Murfadurf83 lol are you drunk? thanks anyway man, if anyone wants to offer me that tv deal i'm listening

  • Loved time crisis in arcade

  • @marbleskc time crisis was fantastic, a classic light gun shooter, i might have to pick up a gun for it sometime, hopefully one with a pedal :)
