wow i dint know there is more Yoga terms... I had done the P90X Yoga and I love it, although it took me a while to learn the steps and I still trying to learn how to relax and breath "not easy"... I do want to learn this technique..... Thank you
best explanation of this slippery concept i have come across so far! if i begin by using one bandha at a time in me asana practice which is best to start with? it must take a longtime to be able to engage all three for the duration of an entire practice..
Begin by contracting all the muscles @ the floor of the pelvis. Try this in one of the warrior postures, Virabadrasana, & you'll notice when you engage these muscles you feel stronger & lighter & when you release them the legs & glutes have to work more & the posture feels more difficult. Over time refine the contraction to the perineum (for men) & the muscles around the cervix (for women). Moola Bandha will connect with Uddiyana Bandha gradually & both will become easier. Aloha,Tania.
ah yes. When i first discovered how to use the locks effectively, i wasn't expecting them to effect your whole body in the way that they do... It was like pulling down tight on an internal rope that instantly straightens out your your entire body.... it takes practice.... it is very similar to meditation and trying to keep your mind free of thought, it takes the same kind of focus.
Those ladies are so pretty. and i love the video as well.
