well in london i had bought a long black garment and the fitted head scarf i wore for most of the time. but when i arrived in tehran i realised it was very conservative by tehran's standards and as a tourist, i would have looked like a real try-hard! i honestly couldn't find a shalwar kameez in istanbul - which is why i ended up in a stupid men's shirt. only had teh afternoon to find one before flying...
