  • "I had a dream about you last night. You were in the house, calling my name, but I couldn't find you. Then there you were, lying in bed... but it wasn't you. It looked like you, but it wasn't"

  • Never saw the movie, but I love this song! Bowie is a genius!

  • II part: Lost Call

  • Now everytime I get on a road at night I get this song in my head,.

  • I've never liked David Bowie, yet this song is remarkable and deserves respect. I find this song very interesting musically.

  • @fabianidhesona You should probably check out more of his music. You might be positively surprised.

  • @fabianidhesona its not even amongst the best he has, I think you need to listen to more of his material. Start from something like Wild is the Wind

  • 9 people were sentenced to the chair.

  • I like to remember things my own way. How I remembered them, not necessarily the way they happened.

Probably the best movie EVER made.

  • perdon, en 2:14 suena aflamencao

  • @Juandiegodiverso en 1:22 suena flamenco tambien.

  • en 2:178 suena aflamencao! jaja

  • I'm in love with this song...

  • I am so obsessed with David Lynch and this song. The jazzy piano in the end is incredible..

  • one of his greatest tracks.all time classic.smashing

  • We've met before haven't we?

  • bowie interesting....

  • I absolutely love his voice.

  • @dolphinsongs Me too! Absolutely !!! It is such an undescribable quality in itself.

  • Call me.

  • "A blond belief beyond beyond beyond" Indeed, I could not agree more.

  • I think the singing totally ruins the song, without it, the way it starts on the title scene for the movie, is perfect.

  • @ScarletSnake MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!!

  • @ScarletSnake no.

  • @kadgi my personal preference.

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • Amazing!!!.. love it !

  • Esa cancion *-*

  • I used to put up this song a lot in my car while cruising to the different points of work back then (believe me; if you had to travel 6000km, this tune passed a lot of times! ;-)

  • @MiskoKatua WOW 6000 km what places were you traveling between?

  • @DestroyerAlexandros a small province called Asturias (Spain)

  • I'm deranged Deranged my love I'm deranged down down down So cruise me babe cruise me baby........cruise me Babeee :)))

  • this is my favorite lynch movie. by fa.r

  • this is my favorite lynch movie. by fa.

  • great movie and great song

  • what to say about david lynch'smovie the lost highway, and what to say about the soundtrack of trent reznor from nine inch nails..cruise me cruise me baby...

  • Haunting, poetic, mad, intoxicatingly brilliant and the work of unimpeachable genius.

  • Nobody's going to "see" this, and people tell me not to compare music BUT..........................I was reminded of David Bowie, this song being one of the specific songs I now believe caused me to think of him, when listening to Hans Zimmer's Inception Soundtrack. There's a track called Old Souls from that ST and somehow this song and that song sound at least a BIT alike. I suspect they have some of the same chord prog's...Hans Zimmer said he drew inspiration from Bowie and some mathematician.

  • I very VERY love this song and the film...

  • kocham ten film i muzykę

  • A wonderfull song for a wonderfull movie.

  • The spooky dark soundtrack as he sings was damn scary to hear. I find the start of the film very scary and wierd and the midly part more slower and boring. However the ending was scary and sick. How the movie is like a circle of events is madness!

  • Epic madness.

  • This piece of music was the first thing that hooked me to the movie. All the rest is amazing too, but this is just wow...

  • @code255 same here, I dare say that i found this song the best of the movie but the movie was also good

  • *Lost Highway* has the same basic storyline as "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge". Watch it with that in mind and it'll make perfect sense.

  • great movie

  • VERY GOOD MUSIC AND VERY STRANG MOVIE BY DAVID LYNCH

  • EPIC Scene

  • I LOVE DAVID BOWIE.

  • .. <3 <3 ....

  • This is my favorite part of the movie

  • The entire movie is weird! But, thank God for it or we wouldn't have this track (and the 'reprise' version - and, yes, both are on the movie soundtrack album, first and last songs). David Bowie is a brilliant artist and this track just shows the enormity of his scope...to me it's one of his best! LOVE IT!!! Too bad the last little bit of the song is cut off in this vid...but I'm sure that that is a just glitch with YouTube.

  • My favorite part in the movie "Lost Highway" is part where weird things happens.

  • i used to have this c.d., and wasn't this song on there twice? the first and the last song? or am i just dreaming??

  • @m1kewithaone all is dream

  • @sethicusprime a dream. ........ oh, thank god for that, i guess. i've gotta go watch it again!

  • @ThaBauce I don't think so but thats a very interesting interpretation

  • @SmokinBluntzzz i don't think i did either, i'll have to watch again. but i love the soundtrack!

  • Lynch is one of the greatest directors of all time...

  • Dick Laurent is Dead

  • @1695Nick hahahahaha you made my day

  • It is really hard not to get mesmerized by the combination of these pictures and the great music by David Bowie (and Brian Eno and some others). Bowie is my all time favourite artist, there is no other like him.

  • @ezaube1030 mine too, panic in detroit. but my favorite album still is,.............. diamond dogs. did you see that coming? or is there something wrong with me, and i'm just stuck back in the day??

  • @ThaBauce you should be very clever to understand all this things,or perhaps you drink so much

  • @ThaBauce how would you then explain the electric blasts at the end... They suggest that he died on the electric chair during this "ride"...

  • @ThaBauce Thank you for the explanation.

  • @bekki650 ???

  • @67agg Well as much as I adore this soundtrack, I didn't understand the movie at all.

  • @bekki650 the soundtrack is incredible, bowie at his best. i heard many explanations for this movie, i don't think there is any logical explanation. i have some thoughts in my mind ,but i have too much time to speak english,so it's difficult to me (i am from greece).thanks for the reply

  • This is my favorite soundtrack, hands down.

  • beautiful... Thank you David Lynch, Thank you Bowie.. and thank you " slademobila "

  • awsome track !

  • Im deranged for this song.

  • the song is better than the movie

  • i'm deranged @_@

  • Lynch is Bowie or Bowie is Lynch?

    I'm Deranged

  • @jimmyvrobel Lynch is great, and Bowie is great. Youve been underanged

  • I can't comprehend what he tries to say by "cruise me, baby"... It's way too odd to me... If anyone knows, please explain it to me.

    Thanks.

  • @melnickovnick It's like he don't know what to do or where to go or he is too insane to understand... So he asks "her" to show him the way, to lead him, to wake up him...

  • This song is just so awesomely beautiful

  • One of the best openings to a film I've ever seen personally. This film and the soundtrack are amazing.

  • Me gusta: 666

  • great song n movie !!!

  • i went to the movie "lost highway"

    strange song is very impact!!

and go to the tower records!!!

    speciality!

  • Stunning song by Bowie. Brilliant Film. The best composer, Angelo Badlamini!

  • @daxbear1

    badalamenti!!!!

  • @szsza My apologies. I have a small keyboard whereby some letters don't quite type through. Besides, I wasn't quite sure if my comment was actually going to get posted for sure. It froze, and i exited.

  • @szsza A Badalamini is simply a smaller, more compact version of a Badalamenti.

  • Listening to this song, feels like you are in your car, going down cielo drive on summer with a weed joint at your mouth.

  • Tune+video.

  • weird movie, but good, it opens your brain a little bit.

  • WEIRD MOVIE! BUT IT;S DAVID LYNCH,AND HIS WORK IS BEYOND EXCELLENT!

  • the feeling is amazing, no drug to wash out this experience. rain sets in....

  • @AxiomaticInfinity , no, not really. Her comment was one of utter nonesene.

  • my favourite song :) loved the movie.....

  • this song is one of my all-time favorites cause it gets me in tune with the idea that I'm wallowing in nothingness when I cling to a belief..so to me the derangement is my attachment to 'whatever' we or I personally happen to have been bred to think, feel and believe. And there's also the thought that the song (and the highway) are trying to lead us from nothingness into cosmic relevance, whether the artists understand it or not.

  • @SwailWailz yeah, i was gonna say somthing like that, esecially the part about the thing that something, u know

  • @SwailWailz spot on

  • @SwailWailz That's a very buddhistic thought :)

  • @SwailWailz i'm not sure if i understand it, we need to talk.. : )

  • @SwailWailz Comment of the day!

  • Seems like two people are normal.

  • Fantastica!

  • The clutch of life and the firs of love Over your head Big deal Salaam Be real deranged Salaam Before we reel I’m deranged [Chorus 2x] And the rain sets in It’s the angel-man I’m deranged Cruise me cruise me cruise me babe I’m deranged

  • In retard words: Hell of a super f*cking great kick-ass song.

Listen to the voice, the music, the beats, the keyboards, he harmony... the madness made music.

  • cruise me, cruise me, cruise me

  • talk about a mind fuck of a movie... i've seen it more than a few times now and still don't really know what the fuck is going on.

  • @novemberunderground I think that's the point :) I understood film plot as time bending and crossing.

  • I still play this song at top volume and dog out my Mustang on backroads.

    It just feels right.

  • @thegirl44 i wish i could ride with you in your mustang..that would be the coolest..

  • @paulmanson

I don't think that I could afford the import tax to ship my car to the Philippines lol. If I could, though, we'd drive the every road on Luzon at top speed with this screaming out of the speakers.

  • @thegirl44 i could barely imagine that scene..that would probly the most kick ass day of my life..

  • @paulmanson

Keep me in mind and let me know if your life's journey ever brings you to North America. I'll take you to the highway that this scene was filmed on in California in my friend's '69 I Series, which is a much nicer Mustang than mine, though I would never admit it to him :).
