Interesting, thanks for the reply, I'm thinking of getting one, are you still happy with the TG3? Also, have you posted any "raw" footage, I'm after no more than 30 seconds AVCHD footage to test that my set-up can handle it OK?
Yeah, still happy with it, just recently took it on holiday and it was fantastic, although its likely you will need a spare battery!
Ill upload a AVCHD file later on tonight after work and link it in the comments here. They are quite demanding on a normal pc, if your on a mac you won't have a problem.
Cheers, I very much appreciate that, I'm all Mac so it sounds like it won't be a problem. I'll grab the file when you post it to save any online space you'll be using. Thanks again.
The video is in its raw format which is MTS, it is converted to AVCHD if you use the sony software, but i think iMovie is a better program to import it.
Sorry about the link, ive tried posting this a few times but youtube keep blocking my own links. Where ever there is a space, put a dot!
Got it, many thanks. It went through the Turbo.264 HD no problem but iMovie '09 won't take it (the MTS file) directly - probably due to a missing folder/file structure that would be set up by the camcorder. Thanks again.
Hi,
Was the camera handheld?

It was on quite a cheap tripod which was a little stiff when moving it around.

You shouldn't film people without their consent.
