My laptop can't find the droid wifi connection. I rooted with z4root, which appears fine. I down loaded the same wifi tether app that you have, but, when the phone shows it is sending wifi, laptops can't see it. When I stop the wifi, it pops up a window asking if the phone is rooted, then another window says phone is in an "unknown state" & to reboot? HELP!

@issaaden Did you use the Wireless Tether app that YOU download from the market? If you used the app from the market and your phone is rooted it SHOULD be free but if you used the default app that came PRE LOADED you are out of luck.

Hello Ryan, I had my moto droid rooted before the 2.1 update came out. I made the mistake of updating via verizons over the air update. Now my droid is showing that its rooted but I dont have superuser permissions. The icon is there but nothing is in it. I have tryed to fix this by fallowing your reverte 2.1 to 2.0.1 but I had no luch. I wish i wouldnt have taken that update. Where do I start?
