  • can you tell me where i can get the exact cutting shape of this to recreat it at home??? thanks, seb

  • as long as you make all the edges straight it'll work. Just follow it closely

  • cool

  • but when u twist it the ractangle is smaller....try doing that with an outline of the first rectangle like in the original video and line it up after u twist it and it will be smaller to make up for the hole....

  • wait a sec is that tecnocly flipping

  • The thing gets bigger!

  • NO SHIT SHERLOCK

  • Okay...

  • OMG!!!! why!!?? xD

  • In the Quirkology video, he did not flip it to get the hole. He flipped it to change the picture so he could insert the missing piece. In order to get the hole, he just rearranged the pieces as you did.

  • in the quirkology video

He flips it , so obvious.. but yeah u cant tell in a video but it does increase in size..just enough to make a whole

    =D

  • I think you meant "No flipping needed if you aren't trying to fool anybody."

  • yes, rotating the pieces would make the hole, but it would not make the picture come out correctly. For that you need to have a different image on both sides. no matter flipping or turning both are rotating the objects 180 degrees.

  • ZOMG its not fake! i cut a piece of paper like that and it works... it does turn out about... 1/2 inch bigger on all sides... but its un-noticable on video...

  • Yeah, it gets bigger, thats why the white square in the quirkology-vid is bigger in the beginning, but fits perfectly in the end.

  • the size has to change!!!! it's just a small amount on each size. enough to compensate for the volume difference

  • no, he changes the length

  • how did you come up with the conclusion. I rewatched a few times, and finally found that it actually does get bigger on all sides. I'm not measuring it out for myself with the experiment on hand hold on... yup

  • lol so are you saying i'm right or wrong?

  • well If I say someone is either right or wrong, that implies I think I am right. I don't know asses from apple butter these days. You could be both right and wrong for all I know. But I urge you to do the experiment for yourself to find your truth :)

  • ok......

  • it's ok

  • i dont get it

  • sweet lol

  • ahha of course they needed the flipping in the other one cause it has pictures on it!

  • good call.

  • informative!

  • i wonder how

  • If noone else noticed the thing was that, the size of it didnt chance but somehow he managed to get a hole into it

  • I love you! Thank you, geniussss!

  • oh now i gettit! ta!

  • clever, this is good stuff

  • Cool one! Indeed, the flipping was needed to change the picture.

  • genius.
