Its a pretty good series, except the more I watched it the more it seemed fake. No one ever gets caught on the first day, and somehow the prey always gets into brush or rocks where horses dont go? What about the camera crew thats with the prey, they probably give them away to the mantracker half the time.

i havnt watched the full episode yet but ive seen the contestants and they are actually who they say they are seriously they would win like its not even a question, the military trains by sending guys into the wilderness without any supplies but a knife, some rope and a couple other small things and they have to avoid guys chasing them with NVG's and heli's and thats just the reg force! let alone some crazy czech spec ops team they would be like twice as good.

@cei70 Well the thing is that a lot of what you see is set up or after takes. Like when mantracker is slowly trotting down a path or through the brush chances are he lets the camera guy (who is probably also on a horse or something) to go up ahead and shoot him coming towards the camera or something along those lines. And when Mantracker takes off to catch someone the camera guy will usualy shoot him leaving and a bit of the horses ass with mantrackers back....They take the front shots after....

This episode does a poor job of showcasing tracking ability... oh there's a flare gun and some busted up grass and a fence... cross fence... go straight for a bit until you get to a field using your horses speed advantage... oh look there they are... It's a good thing I used my tracking abilities to travel in a straight line until I got to a wide open area and just looked around... oh shit random binoculars in the middle of a field... there they are 100 yards away...

no worries twak22 - there are holes in this show large enough to drive a truck through sometimes. I think they have tightened up the holes since season 1. Regardless, you have a good question that I think can only be answered like this: They needed to re-enact the shot. I'm sure that MT and his guide did not really find the binoculars, but they re-enacted the circumstances to make it more dramatic. Thanks for the support!

@Mantrackerfan thats lame they have a camera crew following them. my first move would be to get rid of the camera men. 2nd move, make fucked up tracks, third move, set up traps, like, put barbed wire in lots of places. i would go in the bush first thing, make sure i stay close to him, but make sure he doesnt see me, so at night time, go where he's camping and steal his horse. :)

@scaredweepel Actually it's 35lbs rucksack plus 22lbs webbing plus rifle for the 30 miler - get your facts right! It's reality TV with a touch of script mate, real life E & E you lay up during the day, and move at night but in the show you can't move at night, you have to come into the open as you have check points to hit, and why wear a ghillie suit when you have cover distance fast (movement is seen rather easily). Not bollocks, it is real, but done in fast time, not real time....
