no point in getting more then 4gb ram on a 32bit system BTW as 32bit system wont use more than 3.5gb of ram. If you have less than 1gb of ram on XP or 2gb for vista/win7 then you should;d get more ram for general purposes.

For not mentioning MSCONFIG this video fails! No point in buying more RAM if you have **** loads of programs running in the background. Also most people are running 32bit Windows so it might not be worth buying more RAM as it wont be recognised by the OS.

More RAM is great, but if you have a 32 bit OS (as most people do) it doesn't matter how much extra RAM you install, the OS will only use 4GB (and due to other hardware may only use between 2.5GB and 3.5GB). So check whether your OS is 32 or 64 bit before going beyond that or you're just wasting your time and money.

Hey, here is how to get more ram or whatever, well, open up notepad, type in Mystring = (80000000) and save it as ram.vbe, ON YOUR DESKTOP!!!!!! and open it up again, and nothing will open, but your computer speed should increase!

hey,charles,i downloaded a game from internet and instaled it and ever since my computer is runing slow,refresh has delay,opening files and documents is kinda slow,games are lagging and so on...so i scaned with nod32,spybot search and destroy,doctor alex antispyware and malwarebytes anti malware and i found couple of viruses and stuff and deleted them and i defragmented my comp 2 times(defragmenting took very long time,it was very slow)so if you have any advice on solving that???
