  • 1:09 it's like expendable youth by slayer

  • i still have a tape of metal church from the '80 end of the '80.....do not remember the title right now but I loved that one I liked the singer during that time.....

  • They remind me of a mixture between Megadeth and Judas Priest

  • While the "rights" that our forefathers (and even some of our own fathers/grandfathers) fought for are slowly being stripped away , each day a bit more than the last, don't forget to continue speaking your mind. Don't ever let the fear of our government hold you back from saying what you mean! It's crazy how our fathers all saw this coming, but forgot.

  • this hot

  • There's one hour I am in you tube listening to excellent bands like Razor,Over Kill,Destruction,Agent Steel and Whiplash, but Metal Church was the best...hail from Brazil to all of them

  • I heard this song the first time in high-school...now I'm 45 years of age! And to this very day, I listen to this song when working-out at my local gym!!!!

In a nutshell, this is one of the most heaviest and brilliant metal songs ever recorded...Period! The jam at the end is unequaled to anything in metal-history!!!!!!

    Patrick Parks

  • @patparks1 greta patrick i also listen to lots of good metal punk hard core and much more since more than 20 years.....still going......

  • Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne.Dave Wayne......HE'S THE ONLY VOCALIST FOR METAL CHURCH that holds water...the latest one they hired is completely ruining classic Metal Church albums......

  • Back around '86 a friend of mine told me "You'd probably like Metal Church" so I bought the cassette without ever hearing them. The first song on the tape was Beyond the Black. About a minute into this song, I knew I liked them. RIP David Wayne...you had one of the best voices in metal!

  • incredible track!!! guitar-orgy!

  • awesome!!!

  • i think my neck is broken :(

  • @666stet - When I bought this album in the 80s the vinyl had a little paper insert with an order form for T-shirts... and a Metal Church neck brace. After listening to it I could understand why it was an appropriate accessory.

  • lost my virginity to this jam when i was 16 back in 93....still wonder why metal church didnt make it as big as other thrash bands...this album fukin kills

  • @dickram227

Probably because Metal Church wasn't purely Thrash, so they didn't fit into the convention at the time.

  • This is better than anthrax

  • Metal Church....this is my Church. I want to stay and live in it. Forever Metal Church. Greats Adri

  • @GodzillaVsEveryone - Testament, Armored Saint, Death Angel, Exodus...

  • Most underrated thrash band of the 80s thumbs up if you agree

  • @GoJays09 lol course not. There are bunch. Coroner is one of them ;).

  • @GoJays09

I would say that they are more Power Metal than Thrash Metal.

  • @GoJays09 Its not thrash!!!! Metal

  • @GoJays09 this is one of the best metal albums of all time,, a must have if you dig metal

  • @iliketofrolic666 slayer sounds like metal church

  • @iliketofrolic666 i had to pause the video and think bout the riff and slayer song to go with it haha

  • First time I have heard this band there awesome got to get this album

  • Heard this awesome song 18 years ago- it still makes my blood boil=D

  • this is the only album metal church did using e flat tuning...thats why the slayer comparisons...but i have a sneaking suspicion that the tuning is what really makes this album a gem...the dark was standard ..and it was missing something?

  • I love the riff in this :)

  • is there a face on the right of the cover?

  • metallica never made thrash metal slayer did

  • This is band was/is really great one!! Why they don't play anymore: stoped

in 2009??? This band is one of the fathers of real thrash meta, it's not Metallica!!

  • @Gatida metal church is truly awesome...but your wrong..they really never were thrash...and thats been an ongoing debate forever....they really were a cross between traditional metal power metal and thrash...which they forged into something known as speed metal...and thats what they are ...speed metal...and they are masters of it

  • The solo in this song is sick. The part during 5:33 - 5:38 , gives goosebumps every time!

  • ohhhh shittt.

  • CATERVA!

  • @dethra The riff at 3:40 sounds like Black Magick.

  • @BreathTheDeath These guys influenced lots of bands.

  • totally rad \m/

  • Memories come back here! Dave Wayne unsurpassable singer, who could hold a candle to him!!!

  • my favorite part was 0:00 - 6:24

  • one of the greatest metal songs ever written. Saw metal church open for metallica in 1986 when David Waynn was still vocalist. Awesome.

  • This pretty much explains where we're at now, hello Fukushima., May God bless um,...Peace to our bretheren

  • Did anyone notice great similarity to slayer's expendable youth ?

  • @martini19891 fuck yeah man! i wonder who came up with it first?

  • @martini19891 yea i do but then again it sounds like black magic. i mean that certain riff obviously

  • @ryan49er1 Hey Man,The 1st METAL CHURCH LP,What A Masterpiece.

I Friggin Worship this LP,it's my Daily Bread!!!!

  • Epic metal tune!!!

  • one of the greatest

  • anyone wearing a metallica t shirt should be shot, they contribute to the cashflow of those sold out morons, they are to blame for making them popular

  • @rollthelosingdice fuck you bitch its nonee of your concern what other people listen to nd how metallica has money

  • what is this, the only songs I know are respect from pantera and enter sandman from metallica, metallica is my favorite band they are so much cooler than this music. why cant they play like the song one from metallica that i saw on guitar hero, thats all i know about metal music

  • @rollthelosingdice the young

  • @rollthelosingdice then kill yourself now

  • @rollthelosingdice respect from pantera?your a full blown retard its called walk

  • @rollthelosingdice bro, just because their all posers except for maybe a very small percent,u dont gotta fuck around and look like 1 yourself,u can see how many ppl besides me took u serious

  • @metalmeansme well if they look at my channel favorites they will know im joking. I sick of people who know only pantera and metallica and missing out on the good stuff, so yes I will make fun of them.

  • @rollthelosingdice aight im followin your meaning keep up the hard work

  • I want this tape Buried with Me

  • Exodus, Flotsam & Jetsam, Overkill, and Metal Church are classic examples of bands never hit the stride that Metallica and Megadeth got over time, but most certainly deserved it. And this tune is still my absolute fave from this band.

    RIP David Wayne

  • yeahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • holy crappp¡¡¡¡ this song is awesome ¡¡¡¡¡ i love thrash metal, i just love the good music ¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • big bass big drums big guitar and a big voice, too.

who really needed Metallica after listening to metal church?

  • @nichilausi yeaahh dude i agree with you, who the hell needs metallica ¡¡¡¡ metal church, pantera slayer ,the human abstract ,exodus, vader, annihilator ¡¡¡ hell yeah, that´s a really music ¡¡¡¡

  • IF I COULD MAKE A COMPARISON BETWEEN TWO OLD METAL BANDS I LOVE,METAL CHURCH WITHOUT DAVID WAYNE IS LIKE FATES WARNING WITHOUT JOHN ARCH.THEY HAVE SUCH UNIQUE VOCALS THAT REPLACEMENT IS NOT AN OPTION.

  • @3lullabies fates warning was better without arch...metal church was not better without david wayne

  • FUCKIN A THRASHTERPIECE!!!!

  • negotiations are over ,troops are marching to their doom

  • Godly.

  • @theomar13095 Sounds just like it!

  • This riff gives me a woman boner...

  • @AmandaLilithFilth Your comment gave me a wolf boner, women who get metal are rare and rad

  • @AmandaLilithFilth You sound like my kinda woman!!

  • @soulcrusher73 You like women that get boners? You should go to Thailand ;)

  • @AmandaLilithFilth Its ok, there is a cure and I am a doctor

  • I use to be a heavy metal head in my teans in the 80's and I was looking for this for many years. One day I came here and now I can keep this shit in my ears and hopefully it will never disapear.

  • say what you want, think what you want, listen to what you want. these guys deserved much better than they got.

  • Ah,......the good ol days

  • Sorry for posting twice, after listening to the song twice I've noticed it sounds like a boss battle them from Final Fantasy VII. (gamer and metalhead here) Tell me if you guys hear it. Go to 1:20 and listen to the song from there and then check out "Still More Fighting"

  • @Deiradinn it sounds like a boss battle them from Final.VIl.

MC Ambitious: You mean boss battle them from Final.VIl.sounds like it because this came out way before any Final Fantasy came out.

  • Being an avid thrash metal metal fan for a while now, I'm wondering why I only just found out about these guys? WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY NOT MORE POPULAR?

  • big living theatre approaches the level of shakespeare or mozzart. big album im sorry but this blows away all metallica except ride the lightning and and justice some master

  • Dude this album slays. essential for any fan of classic metal

  • I love this guy's voice.

  • wholy fuck, this is just so killer, love that deep voice intro, awesome band, great drummer, singer,

  • Why can't these have been bigger, like Metallica? They really deserve it!

  • @Metallicat8888 I woudn't want them to get big like Metallica, look at how Metallica turned out. I wish they would've got the respect like early Metallica.

  • @Metallicat8888 .... Hell yeah they should have been bigger! This album belongs stands up to ANY metal album ever made .

  • @Metallicat8888 nice that this is said by metallicat8888

  • @kostasosbourne haha I respect so many Metal bands. I think that Metal Church - Metal Church is one of the greatest albums of all time.

  • @Metallicat8888 yeah, and metal church one of the best metal bands of all time...

  • @Metallicat8888 I agree, the biggest I saw was being having a member of metal church be a fill-in guitarist for Metallica.

What the hell, it should have been the other way around! Sad to see it this way. One of my favorite bands.

  • @JoeAuriun Metal Church are one of my favourite bands as well.

  • @Metallicat8888 Because the music you are listening to was written in 1982 and back then it was so ahead of its time that the record companies wouldn't release it - they thought it was too heavy. After a couple of years knocking on people's doors they finally found a company that was willing to work with them and so in 1984 their first album was released.

  • @BGSoccerMagic Holy fuck man hate shit like that, this may be the definition of metal, ever seen them live

  • @Metallicat8888 because metallica sold out

  • @Metallicat8888 I know man, totally underrated band :(

  • @Metallicat8888 lars tried out to be the drummer for metal church before metallica

  • @MrKingnukes looowl classic i think the drums of metal chuch blow ulrics drumming because of the cymbals work. and the drum delay on the drums was setting the bar higher for metal bands

  • @MrKingnukes Yup. We all know how those Bay Area drummers loved trying out for bands up in Seattle, Washington. Really dude, get your facts straight (or at least remotely believable) before spouting off on Youtube. Lars did play a role in the early days of Metal Church, urging Elektra (Metallica's label) to sign them before anyone else could. He never, however, auditioned to be the throne master for 'em.

Regardless, Lars sucks dick and Metallica as a whole is pretty atrocious. Megadeth FTW

  • @Metallicat8888 Because Metallica's just a sellout. Which is why I don't like them very much.

  • @Metallicat8888 Metallica told Elektra Records to sign Metal Church

  • Defiantly the scariest intro,,,sounds like a legion getting ready slaughter things.

  • @69Curtdog And the rest of the song is the slaughtering. But the slaughterers really know how to do it.

  • i give this an AWEOSOME/10

  • Used to have the vinyl .. Played the shit out of it.

  • god damn it, how the fuck can someone create such a fine song???

    It's mind-bogling...

  • @Velzevul666 If you combine pure talent + pure talent + pure talent+ pure talent + pure talent i gues you would get close to something like this..

  • @supersteef

    I hear you mate...

  • will we make it back beyond the black

  • the reason people don't listen to this song, it's 'cause they are afraid of breaking their neck, crraakkkkk ooouch i think i just did

  • @fforced I actually think i did crack my neck headbanging to this the other day

  • \m/

  • Reminds me of my high school days. :)

  • this song reminds me of Manilla Road for some reason...

What a great band they are as well!!!!
