  • The Rodeo is a great place to see up close Cowboys in action. Most people don't no the name of those Africans Cowboys who live in the Old west, men like Bose Ikard, deadwood dick (Nate Love) Mary Fields, One horse Charlie, Bob Lemmon, Isom Dart, and many more. They were documented in paintings by a African American Artis, along with a lot of history on the

AfricanCowboys web site. Paintings with a lot of history.

  • I participate in the Bill Pickett Rodeo....so dont tell me this is a black white thing. its a rodeo thing.

  • This is not a "real" "African American" lets stop the racism he is a real American

  • Ride'em Wear

  • Love this...

  • man i like these guys better than them damn rap fuckers

  • Let it be known to all ignorants & bigots in america...

in the history of the west, most cowboys in the west were black cowboys. to be a cowboy was real tough work & only the strongest & toughest men could handle this type of work that did not pay much as compared to other jobs such a blacksmith.

the best cowboys were black because they were the toughest. that is why they were hired on most often by the cattle ranchers.

so spare us the foolishness of the previous poster & go get educated.

  • @jagib2

YOU JAGIB are the one that brought race into it...GreatChiefjoseph said black or white.

  • Are you rider? I don't think, but me I am Bull rider. And I hope to have competition with them. Black or White; NO difference in the rodeo. Just the feeling in spirit.

    Poor person you are ....

  • neat

    thanks for the upload

  • Herb Jeffries was the first Black Movie Singing cowboy and he starred in 4 feature length all-black cast westerns during the 1930s. Other black movie cowboys were portrayed by Woody Strode, Jim Brown, Sidney Portier, and Fred Williamson, as well as Clevon Little.

  • Rodeo's are so hard on the cowboys bodies. So many of them have broken many bones in their bodies. I want to see more cowboys and cowgirls with soul!!!
