I just want to clear up something misleading in the description. M Factor was NOT on the original album (I still have the LP I bought way back then). It was only on the B side to Pop Muzik.
It is, however, on the CD release of the album, and the CD is currently available from Amazon.
O M G THANK YOU!!!!! I had the 45 of "Pop Muzik" when I was a kid and just LOVED this b side for whatever reason and have been searching for this song ever since. NICE UPLOAD. Thanks to bringing back the memories! Cheers!
@UltraBVR...Don't laugh, but.. He go here Ego there Incognito everywhere A mack or me Say mack or you Is she red, white, or blue? Trigger happy Power crazy Button pushers where are we at? Communism Fascism Racism, I smell a rat I hear they're talking 'bout A new reactor Ooh! she comes The M factor You know this You do that You're a dressed up bureaucrat I got the red I got no green Well that was all I said I mean A universe A unisex These are my politics
This has always been one of my favorite B-Sides. As much as I loved the A-Side, this was even better. Now...if I could just work out all the lyrics. :) Anyway...thanks for posting this!
@rard2010 The lyrics to this have dogged me for years. It's one of my favorite tunes but some of the words are almost indecipherable, and they were never on any lyric sheets. Maybe Robin Scott will see this and post them! Regardless, this is a strong track, even cooler that it wasn't an album cut and you had to find it on a B-side.
@cormackjames M was an experimental band. The diversity in their music is fairly wide. But the lyrics in this song were spot on for the time! I know at least two rock bands that would do this song on the bar circuit. Yeah, I am not fond of their production of the song, especially after hearing some live cover hard rock versions, but I still do enjoy hearing this, loooong after those bands have gone now...
I like the B-side better on this 45rpm record, not for everyone though.

I LOVE this. Some songs from the album could go away though. But I love this track.

I loved this 'B' side on this 45 as much as Pop Muzik. You had to be there.
