  • OMG OMG old! :L

  • i love how simple the happy eggs design was and i think on a boring trip round a supermarket with a parent anything that says HAPPY on it is rather appealing. LOVE the idea what with me being an animal welfare/design freak it is completley my thing x

  • My suggestion: On the label, replace that solitary smiley face with a small comic strip depicting chickens smiling, laughing, dancing and running/frolicking around on the grass with kids feeding & petting them. Also, chickens playing musical instruments! Chickens in funny cartoonish scenarios might appeal to kids. Have a series of different labels, for each egg size, so parents have to buy more eggs to get the full comic strip set!

  • The happy eggs and wrapping paper is a really cool idea. It would be great for Easter. :)

  • I like the happy eggs idea, and the wrapping paper! You should realy do something with it!

  • both ideas are brilliant, but i especially love the happy eggs, thats so cool, and maybe it would get them to carry free range eggs in normal supermarkets instead of having to go to yknow some organic food store... awesome.

  • Not to be mean, but on the picture of the "happy eggs" idea it says:

    6

    class

    A

    eggs

is it menna be the other way around or am i just being stupid?

  • its real sad that even free range is pretty sketchy. i guess to be qualitied as 'free range' there only has to be like a door open to the place the chikens are kept. and for cows they just have to be let out once a day or somehting. ... not totally sure but i guess the laws are pretty shit

  • Once again cut a sample sheet of the wrapping paper the same size as the sheets in your portfolio and attach it loosely inside ur desired scetion. On the backdrop page, on the rt side of the book, attach the wrapped gift photos and then on the left page of the book, place your description.

  • You have to get beyond the intimidation of writing a representation of your ideas. Creative and powerful copy allows the artist an opportunity to draw their audience into a deeper appreciation and understanding for the work. Words are the most powerful tool an artist has in making an everlasting impression.

  • Hey Princesslilies. I have class in a few hours and a millions thoughts to share with you. I will comment briefly and while I sit in a lecture at 8:30 will make notes about what else I want to say. Maybe I will send those thoughts privately. Anyway, the egg idea is once again ingenius. Your creations are incorporating a natural representation of your personality into your port. Again highlight this idea around its origin. Why did you think to do it? In the interest of chickens.

  • The welfare or the quality of living of chickens may sound like who cares...But, animal welfare is huge!!! Your interest in it is valuable!!! In America, Veal eaters are looked down upon by many because of how it is made. Baby cows are held still until they are slaughtered so they dont develope muscle and their meat stays tender. Mink furs are frowned upon for similar reasons. Incorporate your character values into your creativity values.

  • those were two excellent ideas, Paperlilies... but I have to admit, the design of the "Happy Eggs" propably needs some improvement

  • When I wrap a gift it always looks a mess. That paper could come in handy. Good idea.

  • I mean, I always knew you were creative, but for some reason that wrapping paper really tickles me.

And it can be used for all occasions. Genious.

  • Your portfolio seems to need to be in two forms, one which is givinh the viewer the concepts that you have come up with, the egg idea (whiuch is quite a good pitch) nad the wrapping paper but with a second option to actually handle the fabricated product as a sort of background with additional information or a i , as normal, totally off the plot

  • Bummer on the lost data. It really reminds us how fragile a lot of our valuables have become in this digital age: months of work with business/financial/emotional/sentimental value can be lost in an instant due to a single human error or hardware failure. I know I have far too little in the way of backups myself, should something like this happen.

But glad to see you're 'recouping', and back with a burst of videos! I'm intrigued by this self-referential instructive wrapping paper :-)

  • If misery likes company, I accidentally deleted my desktop and a copy of what was on it as well using undo and redo. It was getting overly cluttered anyway so no big deal. I had an older backup and do a lot of stuff from memory so I was able to reconstruct it. That mistake is too easy to make.

The computer industry seems to be too focused on staying on top and needs to put more effort is saving the work of computer users.

  • You think to much (as am I). You should be well rounded on what you design. You should have a design where you have pictures of how to wrap something (step by step) and have colors of the wrapping paper with the instructions on it.

  • I would definitely buy your wrapping paper.

  • This wrapping paper totally rules. I'm literally fascinated by it!

  • Some of these things you can include, but if you are going to include everything it's going to be like a scrap book? I would have though the photo of the box and the pattern would communicate this idea?

  • I would feel really bad eating 'Happy Eggs', it feels like you're cutting them down in their prime...I'd rather have a depressed egg, one that just wanted oblivion; an egg that looks forward to being an omlette so it can end its miserable egghood.

  • Why don't you make the label a picture of a happy chicken? The eggs aren't happy the chickens are. Same as the watermark you could put a funny cartoon happy chicken on the egg. Kids will react to a picture more than words and if you can intrigue them with something funny then they might like it. Also consider a story inside the wrapper like a comic book telling the story of the happy chicken.

  • I'm so easily led, I would buy happy eggs if I saw them ><

  • The happy eggs idea is good, though I bet if you look it up someone would've done it before, or something v/ similar.

  • I would need that wrapping paper, I don't know how to wrap a damn present/package. It's awful. Happy Eggs actually looks pretty good too, kinda Bold, yet simple?

  • I would buy that wrapping paper! I think it is such a cute idea!

  • Happpy eggs....cute : D Love the wrapping paper.

  • I like the happy eggs. I like the idea of miserable eggs though - maybe for the battery hens. How fantastic would that be on a shelf in safeway? You could also have bitchy bread & pissed off peas (in the sucky market!) not taking the mickey btw..

  • 1. you're allowed to be pasty, its the winter!

    2. my little girl doesn't want anything unless its multi-coloured or fluffy. Good luck with making Eggs cool!

  • "Designery". Is that a new word?

That wrapping paper was a really cool idea.

  • I Lost four hundred photos when I lost my hardrive,it was freeing...sorta.
