for my knowledge, the US version has a built-in GPS. But, the one in the Gulf has no built-in GPS.

This version is the North American Version (a.k.a. NAM) and it'll work perfectly in Mexico, US or Canada (including the G3 functions). I also got confirmation from a friend down in Peru that the phone works there with the G3.

The Finland-made nokia n95 8gb ( A.K.A. Nokia n95-2 8GB) will NOT work on US 3G network. that is why we now have the U.S. NAM version so it will work on 3G network here in U.S... At&T is the only carrier i know that has 3G in U.S.

Basically the difference between Nokia N95-2 8GB European Version and Nokia N95-4 8GB US NAM version is the 3G.

I got my N95-4 bout few days ago. But can someone please tell me if this phone got the latest Software Version, right now it is V1.2.011 COZ when I try to update via Nokia PC Suit, it talkes about some kind of error. If there is any, is there another way and place to upgrade my phone firmware? I'm so thankful if somebody can tell me.

I should have bought the European version. Im about to call them on Monday to get my replacement. It sucks they are close on weekends.

I got mine from mobilecity and it has some defects

1.Wobbly slider

2.I cant update the firmware using nokia software updater.right now it is V1.2.011

It gave me an error that it cant recognize the phone that is connected.

3. When I take videos it lags. And when I play the video that I just captured the video would lag for 0ne second then continues but the sound plays continuously. I tried downloading the videos on my computer and it played the same. There must be smethng wrong in the camera.

I received a unit the other day and unfortunately it has a wobbly slider. I was willing to live with this, however the "end" key was loose. I was wondering if you notice anything different between the "end" and "send" key.

Great video man! Im on HoFo as well, i got my N95-4 wednesday morning, and unfortunately it had a horribly wobbly slider. Im getting a replacemen thursday. i will do a video so that everyone can see what its like to have a wobbly slider....or maybe even 2 wobbly sliders?? hopefully the replacement is nice and tight.

Where did you get yours? I am gonna get mine from MCO and those people who complained got it from J&R.
