I've moved 9 times in my life (to 5 different states) and I am still sentimental about the places. Once I drove by my old house in South New Jersey and got all teary because... Well... Because it was my old house and I hate my new house!

apartments were I go to school, which are near cal state long beach, SUCK. Houses cost about $450,000+, or you can spend like $2,000/month on rent for an apartment.

Oh, I so feel your pain with the housing development taking over the woods. I had the most amazing woods with a huge ravine behind my house and they covered the whole place up with million dollar houses. =/ Now instead of hearing birds and wilderness outside, I hear the neighbor kids yelling and playing on their squeaky swing set... sigh.

Isn't it weird saying goodbye to your old home and all the people you knew, isn't it? It's like finishing your favorite book, except that you're never able to pick it up again.

It was a really hard when I said goodbye to everyone and everything for 6 1/2 years of the Navy. Then I had to say goodbye to men who are closer to me than my own family when I got OUT of the Navy and that was even harder :-(
