I was at the last concert they ever played, and ended up hearing some things from some family friends. The breakup was not really because of Dave... All of his brothers support him. It was more to do with growing up and having different tastes and having them clash with one another.

The boys were pushed by DAD and producers to put out that country crap....and the boys DID sound like Chipmunks then (their name the MOFFATS was close to THE MUPPETS), but once the boys started playing their own instuments and switched to ROCK they wrote great songs, sounded great on their instruments and had GREAT vocals and harmonies. Anyone who gives songs like MISERY, Bang Bang Boom, Miss You Like Crazy and others a hard listen you will hear great writing. Get together again boys!
