  • Such a good interpretation, very good !

  • NULLL

  • this was sick. hiccups and all.

  • GET A HAIR CUT =d

  • @georichter LOL! NEVER!

  • The cymbals you have are almost the exact setup I want. Very nice cover!

  • @Thekoraz lol I was still in the phase of trying to attach as many cymbals as I can to my kit. I have 36 cymbals now but I'll have as little as 3, normally around 8 and as many 15 when I'm just messin around. :D Cymbals = not cheap though, Cheers man, I hope you get your dream setup I really do. :)

  • A little to sloppy. Still good though

  • hey man sweet cover, how do you record your drum cover but play the actual song over the top? is it in the mixing? what program do you use. thanks

  • @drumdemons I should really make a video of the process of how I do these,.. So, When I practice I just have an MP3 player pumping the tracking into headphones underneath my ear protectors. When I record I load the song into the (DAW) in my case it's Adobe Audition. Create 8 tracks for the drums to come in on. And my Interface is called the Profire2626. I record to the track and then mix the drums later so they sink into the mp3 as well as possible. this one turned out particularly well.

  • @kidsparkour101 Hehehehe To be honest I was always like MOAR CYMBALS!!! As many as I could tac on with the stands I had. I Looved the multitude of sound it gives you and I will no doubt one day have a kit with twice as many cymbals as this. But.. It was naive of me at this point to think I could properly utilize the full potential of my setup. If you look at my later videos I've gone down to as few as 4 depending on the song I'm playing. I have a new build now too, MOAR IS COMING SOON!!!!!!

  • man you are really really good!! respect

  • Great Job man, sounds good. :D. nice kit to. i like your china's.

  • @HesterPrynneFTW Hey thinks man! That China is looking pretty sad these days, but this was recorded in its prime. :D

  • I love sound of your cymbals, mainly the china and that bell, what bell is it please?

  • @Kubas0n The Zil Bel? or the Bell on my ride which is a AA Sabian Dry Ride. :D thanks for the comment.

  • you just really enjoy thos hi-hat lifts dont ya?

  • @madmartigan4077 I do infact love my high hat lifts.

  • Nice, I have subscribed to your videos you are awesome :)

  • @nohemiblues Thanks! ^^

  • your china sounds great, what is it? paiste, sabian..??

  • @LUCELAN This one is a Wuhan, sadly its cracked to shit now :( they don't last too long in the rock and metal context. I have another one, very similar style only 24'' instead of 18'' by a company called Dream. I have a showcase video up for it. also I use it in almost every single one of my most recent videos.

    Thanks for the comment dude!

  • Very very nice... Wish i could play like that!

  • @Sweetdavidhehe Hehehe I wish I was a lot better then I am. :P Oh well BACK TO PRACTICE AAAAAHHHHHHHH. Thanks for the comment!!

  • Is that an MD421 on the snare? I can't quite tell from the aspect ratio. looks like it though. Nice drumming, Sounds like you need some EQ on the kick, and there is an awful lot of high end in the cymbals. what are you using for Overheads? interface?

  • @matadorrider Yeah I can't decide whether or not I want the MD421 on the snare or the SM57, I keep switching. I sounds good in this vid... but not so much in my other ones. Behringer C4 Overheads with the low cut enabled. Also this was like a year ago so go check out my newest vids then tell me what I need to work on. Nice vids by the way, you have a really clean sound. I'm really hoping to get a better kit for tracking sometime this year. Hurray for improving sound! :D Ty for the Comment.

  • que padre se escuccha felicidades good friend!

  • Comment removed

  • fucking nice sound!

  • Great job man, im digging the feel you have while playing \m/ .

  • less is more

  • Haha I think your drum set is superior to your skills, but this is still a cool cover! Good job. Play on. Oh...and your China cymbal IS in fact oriented correctly. Fok dem hataz.

  • @asparch ^^

  • @MrSmashKab about me thinking im a better drummer............ please, i was better when i was 11 years old, and one of the most important things in any skill you can be good at is to know that you are good, its not me having a go at the dude, shit i was a bad drummer at one point in my life as is every single person that picks up the sticks but the best way to learn is to learn from what you are told and use it as enthusiasm to get better, but i suppose that your gona tell me that im wrong.

  • @Meansnare Well A. That wasn't even me that that made that statement about thinking you're a better drummer. B. This is the internet, if you're going to claim you're good at something, fucking prove it. otherwise, People don't care.

  • Haha I think your drum set is superior to your skills, but this is still a cool cover! Good job. Play on.

  • @asparch agreed. I've steam lined my set since.

  • @asparch: atleast he has a dream set better than yours.. LOL peace!!

  • and the fill at 1:48 is kick ass.

  • Sweet stuff man

  • bro dont worry about them i play my china that way too and there are no set rules on how you set up your kit

i would however like to know what kind of set it is and what kinda china it is

  • stunning cover! better than cobus' version!

  • @rosshasashoe Hahaha Oh man, I think his is waaaay thighter. But thanks dude! :D

  • @rosshasashoe no offence to this guy hes good and sounds great, but cobus is the best non_professional player on youtube XD

  • LMAO ur kit is set out realy bad and ur playing way to stiff, also you fail at using the china cymbol turn it the right way round or it will break

  • @Meansnare Lawl... I might take you a little more seriously if you could spell right. It's Cymbal not cymbol. And you're a fool. My China cymbal is in FACT, Right side up. That's right. Everyone else plays flipped china so they can play it like a crash but that's boring, I'd much rather have the range of articulation that goes with Bell side up. Which I'll reiterate because you're dumb as a stick. IS RIGHT SIDE UP!

  • @Meansnare Hey dude, why don't you go somewhere where people would actually listen. There's no need to rat on people because you think you're better than them.

  • put your china the right way dumb ass

  • @jayrad69 You're either stupid.. Or you're trolling.

  • @MrSmashKab He's probably trolling. I wouldn't call you a dumbass, you probably like it more on the left. I prefer it on the right. Don't listen to morons like this, play however you think you sound better man! Nice cover!

  • @jayrad69 The drummer does what he like. Who the fuck are u to say otherwise.

  • holy shit thats groovin dude!

    keep it up

  • got enough cymbals? lol good job man!!!!

  • this is great . all haters do better yourself this guy have skill!

  • awesome!!

  • i love your drum set dude..

  • God bless your skills :P

    Hope frnds of you :)

  • what kind of china symbal was that, I ike how it sounds

  • you need crashes

  • Nice job and nice drum kit

  • Great JOB!!! Make more MJ covers ^^

  • OMG

  • WOW!!!!

  • i think, that this is quite good...not overplayed...nice and clean ;-)

  • not awful but not amazing still pretty good tho

  • i like it!!

  • aye dawg u aight but u aint better than cobus potgeiter. And p.s. u aint better than all of us who commented on this vid including me. keep tryin and u can be like us one day We scr8?

  • @greenbean686 Again in English? ....

  • @spamhead2k lol

  • Nice cover of MJ's song but I honestly like Alien Ant Farm's version better. That's not to say that this isn't an original and beastly cover.

  • Mate, Screw the haters on here i think this was really good, it shows how a different style of drumming can be put into such interchangable genres, Very well done!

  • Good job a little bit sloppy at some moments but its still fantastic

  • This is awesome(: RIP MJ

  • Hey cool video!

Check out Shawn Kernon's tribute where he play's the exact same song on drums!

Subscribe or thumps up for more drum covers!

    Danny

  • @ShawnKernonMC Ahahaha, Shameless self promotion... I love it!

  • now i know why samash was out of cymbals lol

  • @nnigro14 33 and counting. :)

  • Alot of people give drummers shit for having too many cymbals on there homekit, but as you can see this guy is plenty capable of using all of them in a tasteful way. As you advance in drumming and your passion for the hobby becomes stronger you want to add more effects...its not obnoxious

  • @MikeHawkZeeDrummer Thanks dude!

  • Very tasteful take on this cover. Nice work.

  • u got alot of cymbals

  • wow the drums sound really good. The cymbals are little ridiculous.

  • awesome!

  • R.I.P M.J

  • Nice, I have some AA's too :) Nice cover.

  • Yamaha?

  • @LuckyRockable Stage Custom Advantage! You know it!

I wanna get the Recording Custom but it's not in the budget at the moment. Soon though very soon. :D

  • @MrSmashKab I have one of those their awesome! especially for recording! Warm tones not like maple. birch is better at studio though

  • Really smooth, great cover!

  • @Ruibempk3r Thanks dude! More to come, gonna see if I can hit up another MJ song too. :D

  • daaaam Goooooooooooooood

  • your china is up side down ?

  • @bjarki12345 LOL! Don't you mean.. My China is right side up!

  • Professional!

  • @KelvinChoi724 Thanks dude! Been working hard lately to get even tighter! after all.. There's no such thing as too much practice. :D

  • got enough cymbals stacked on top of each other? lol nice job dude.

  • @racestarter88 lol my new setup is a little more Streamlined.. But I do have 33 Cymbals to choose from.

  • @MrSmashKab holy shit dude, throw some my way. lol jkjk =p

  • So damn Good!

  • ehhh i lil off on thee snare like it has to be a snap!.....idk it just wasnt tight enough for me....but it was good and i love thee set.....

  • @yupyup381 Yeah.. This one could use a little work. and I love my kit too. :D Thanks for the comment dude!

  • nice :D

  • great !!!

  • thats the most extensive cymbal setup ive ever seen. holy hell. good cover.

  • @smilewhileyouhump Lol Oooohhhh man. You gotta look harder. Mines Cool, But look up Terry Bozzio. You'll shit your pants. Thanks for the comment!

  • Ouh man, what's that chinese (I think, it is one)? It sounds awsome!

  • @huskystuermchen111 The very right most cymbal on the kit? Yup, 17'' Wuhan China. It's Trashy, I love it.

  • @MrSmashKab

    Ya, that one!

    Thank's!

I hoped, you'd say that. Was thinking about to buy a Wuhan, now I made my decision ; )

  • this is awesome

  • bon françois il te faut la même batterie et que tu gère comme lui lol ^^

  • wow - thats some serious cymbal stacking!

  • @Aspinel100 Lol yeah. My setup is much more streamlined now. Although seeing just how many cymbals you can cram onto one kit is really fun.. especially when you have 32 to choose from. ;)

  • @MrSmashKab haha i only have enough cash atm for a zbt pro pack and one meinl byzance splash (which sounds pretty sexy it must be said). obviously im hoping to upgrade!

  • @Aspinel100 lol No worries man, It took a long time to collect this many! Also it helps to have a job that gives you plenty of disposable income... Also.. Credit cards. But no! Don't do like me, I'm a bad example of how to manage your money. :P

  • JUST GREAT! :)

  • your china cymbal is the wrong way round!

  • mmmm actually... It's not. With a modern style china you do have the option to flip it so the curve is facing down. However with the style of china I have in this vid as well as my new one, were originally designed to be suspended by a rope having a handle like knob on the top prevents it from being flipped.

I suggest you wikipedia the different types of cymbals so you have a better understanding of how they are made and or used.

  • Hi there!

I think you should focus more on the grooves and refiningthe many pausees of the song instead of battering all over the kit.. that's my opinion. i would like it to be one solid beat on the verses with maybe small variations and one solid beat on the chorus... if you play more pop, rock stuff to a metronome.. everything will fall into place.

  • Lol, I'm to use to metal where I just hit as much crap as I can. :P This cover could def use some more consistent grooves though. Thanks for the comment.

  • Your style complements MJs

  • All I can say....5 STARS!!!

Damn this was 4:20 min of my life well spent! I'm Subscribing!!!

Keep it like that man, u r awesome!!!

I'm buying my own drum kit today :D, maybe in some time I'll post videos, hopefully i'll get to play something xD, but thanks for the vid, you are really encouraging! ;D

    LONG LIVE METAL!!!!

  • fucking hella good!!

but its like ur building a fortress from ur cymbals lol

do u use remo tome heads?

  • Hahahaha Yeah my cymbal setup is much more streamlined now. I still have all those cymbals in my roster though just in case I want to employ all 32 of my cymbals at once. Now that.. would be crazy :D

And no I use to, but now I'm all about the Evans E2 skins for my toms.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • You look likeRomain Goulon

  • NECROPHAGIST (Insert Demonic Scream)

If only I was as good as him. :P

  • fucking good^^.

  • Thanks man!

  • Dude your amazing

  • nice cover, now you just need a new hair cut to be perfect ;)

  • Are you Kidding?!?!?! My hair is the source of all my drumming powers!!!

  • Don't listen to him keep your hair!!!! :D

  • No not nice cover, but an AWESOME cover!! Drumming is your thing, keep on playing. ;)

  • That's one crazy drum set. XD!!

Oh yeah, did you ever think about getting a coated drum head for your snare? They sound great. Nice cover, btw. 5/5* :D

  • I use to have that Remo Powerstoke skin on it. But I like the Evans Onyx mostly because its brutally honest that being said I'll probably try a bunch more as the new series come out. Thanks for the comments man!

  • Fuckin' Great !!!!!!!!

  • ok thnx btw ur great ina few weeks plz check out mi drum covers thnx again

  • ok, do u recemend that ????

  • I would very much recommend the newer models especially the Demon Drive. But they are really pricey after all is said and done you're looking at least $500. Thanks for the comments btw!

  • nice cover man wat kind if u do double bass pedal do u have

  • It's the old version of the Pearl Eliminator.

  • Fantastic drum cover. One of the best cover of smooth I have ever heard.

  • nice cover man.. but i think ur china would last more if u turned it upside down

  • nice but no groove its black music not rock LOOL

  • Hahaha There's a bit of a back beat. but you're right, I had the AAF version more in mind when I did this.

  • but its great

  • Subscribed and favored :D

  • Thanks for the support!

  • great coverr:)

  • dood is that a black snare drum head? or a practice pad or something

  • It's an Evans 'Onyx' skin. I recommend giving it a shot if you get a chance.

  • how did you get the audio to the computer

  • There are a bunch of ways to do this. I use a Firewire interface called the Profire 2626.

  • lots of cymbals. :P

  • :D I now have 32 to chose from!

  • awesome man

    you fucking rock

    five stars xD

  • Thanks dude!

  • Nice feeling dude :D

  • Nice. But... Didn't you go a bit far with the possibilities? I mean, having many tools for the drums is nice, but ou got too many. You don't even use all. I think you forgot to use about 5 or so.

  • One of my biggest flaws as a drummer use to be that I would hit as much as I could whenever I could. It sounds too messy. Since then I've corrected that issue. I use some things more then others in some songs and sometimes not at all. It's all about being tasteful.

  • If you have corrected it, why don't you upload a new and better one?

  • Well aren't we condescending? You sho
