  • Well if Bahamian Artists didn't try to sound like they are either from the U.S. or Jamaica or some other country other than the Bahamas, then maybe there would be support. Bahamians DO NOT have their own identity and that problem trickles down from the artists to the fans. Artists trying to sing other genres and then Bahamian fans on the whole love "name brand." Bahamian artists need to find their own sound, rhythm and whatever is encompassed in making music with influence from other genres..

  • @GeneralPEagles thats not true, we have many songs with calypso and junkanoo instrumentals but thats not what people want to hear and that is why we arent respected.

  • cause bahamain think they better than people i live there an i left it dont like it

  • Why can't Bahamians support Bahamian artist - Check out another unsung Bahamian artist at the Conch Salad TV website

  • You guys need to tour and promote. Do parties and whatnot. The music industry is very, very crowded and hard to get into. The Bahamen weren't supported when they were High Voltage. They had to take their music elsewhere. I'd suggest the same.

I'll spin in the club (almost) anything you send me.

  • she is right! hating ass Bahamians! love to use that excuse to not support! ''why you doing R&B and Hip-hop" that ain't Bahamian..that's BULLSHIT! because if a Bahamian go on American Idol an win they should only sing Bahamian songs?

  • its fact tho Bahamians don't support they own!!

  • i really like this, and i agree totally. we would pay 150 bucks for a beenie man concert, and would make noise if positive link or tada or reddah - wanted to charge the same for theirs. we dont take our own artists seriously and treat them like a joke. if we work together to promote each other the bahamas can be blown off the map for real!

  • well real talk i is a artis myself and from bein around the other ppl who already out dere i learn alot a dem is fuck shots man they talk like they tryna do big things fa the bahamas but they tryna do big things fa dem fuck em

  • Well im Bahamian and Im off to school right now and it was hard for me to get where I was going because Bahamians do not show love at all....I agree that Bahamian people do not support thier own....but the reason why Bahamians are progressing is because some of them arent serious about the way they Market themselves....stop trying to follow others and be yourself...now das my five cents

  • keep on pushin'!!

  • Big up all my people! Overlord & Margaret special thanks!

    One love,

    Kirkwood
