@DarthSeraphim It's called Marmalade Madness. I got it yesterday, and I am enjoying it FAR more than I did when I was a kid. Back then, I guess it was just too sophisticated for me, and I had a hard time following it.
@pcar93 don't worry. i have contacted the authorities and i have been assured that those people (if they can even be described as 'people') will be deported asap.
I used to watch Paddington here in the states. We have a couple episodes on a VHS tape somewhere... I remember Pinwheel too. Thanks for posting this amazing show! :-D
I used to watch this on Pinwheel when I was kid waaaay back in the 80s when Nickelodeon was the only REAL reason to get cable TV!! I still love Paddington, but he's not very popular here in the States :( Ah well...Thanks for uploading on Youtube!
Trivia fact - Barkridges is undoubtedly an amalgam of Selfridges and Barkers (of Kensington), another venerable London department store (sadly no more). Being brought up in a neighbourhood very near Paddington's, it's great to see how true to central London life these cartoons are, especially from a child's eye view.
What a great show! It's just so full of that British Charm!
I've heard that a Live-Action Paddington Movie is currently being planned which will feature a CGI Paddington!
I don't want to judge something before I know anything about it, but it's obvious it won't have the same feel as this old show! People should just leave things the way they are!
Paddington came up at work today with a coworker roughly the same age as me 33 years old. I don't remember what show it played on in the US in the early 80's, but I certainly loved it and it was such a blast to experience it again
I have Paddington on laserdisc and I spent an afternoon watching it when I was much younger. It was a very scary experience for me, and to watch this now took a lot of mental preparation. It certainly is not as scary as I remembered.
Even more!! Watched all these shows as a child and can now watch all over again. Wonderful. Thank you again and again. Went to the Paddington shop with my dad in the seventies. Is it still there? (in Paddington, London, England). His daughter was on the till and I got a signed pic of Paddington. Such a thrill then and now! Paddington is the best!!!
Think the shop may have gone, but there is a bronze Paddington statue (complete with suitcase) in Paddington station - kids love sitting with it. Now, where's my marmalade sandwich?
Sorry to hear that the shop has gone, but think your sandwich will be under your hat in case of emergencies. Hope so anyway, and thank you for letting me know about the shop and the statue. Keep the faith!!
can anybody please tell me how to get the full series on the net? all i found was books and animated ones but not like this stop-motioned series...thanks in advance
i love how the narrator does voices for different characters and he doesn't even try to sound different for each character.......lol. LOVE IT!!!

I remember the British department store in the 1980's. The clerks were semi-retarded compared to the ones in the USA.

Was this show sponsered by Marmite back in the day???? and is that why he's in the commercials?????
trainboy94 3 years ago
This show aired on the BBC originally, they don't have commercials on that channel much less commercial tie-ins.
