@wutdaFU3K Funny thing about that is that Yui's playing a real guitar, and this is a toy guitar. You know, a squeaky plastic toy guitar. Oh, but that's right, you must be one of those guys who thinks toy skill reflects on real skill. And while we're on the subject, you DO realize that Yui is a fictional character, right? Whose guitar playing isn't hers but rather is actually that of a real, professional musician who gets PAID to record his talents for the show? Just some food for thought.

listen to yourself. you don't seem to understand that this game was developed for like 10 year old's anyway and some families just like to play it just to have some sort of a family activity on a rainy day. I play drums for real and yeah the game is nothing alike but its useful for those people that cant seem to find a rhythm. And to be quite honest when i am drunk i don't particularly want to go on my drums just in case i don't ruin them, therefore the game isn't a bad replacement

how does something that is easy to play on a real guitar become so complicated with guitar hero?:P

Because the crowd doesn't boo you off the stage if you miss two or three notes. That, and computers don't understand the concept of improvisation; play it exactly, never deviate, that's Guitar Hero.

Plus, with a real guitar, you actually know which fret/string combination makes what noise, whereas here green could mean anything. Such are the woes of a 5-fret one-string limit.

Irrelevant. These videos aren't about skill, they're about customs. Besides, I've FC'd this song a couple times, and could do it again if I really tried or cared. I blame FRAPS for my poor performance during recording sessions, since it throws the framerate all over the place; such is the disdvantage of recording on PC. And besides, even without FCing I'd still consider myself good, because not being the absolute best does not mean I suck.

The problem with this song is that it's just too finished to be seen as a live performance.

Eh, considering how Neversoft handles their art direction, I think the last thing they care about is making it look like a live performance. Yes, it's stupid, I know, but that's what happens when you give a music rhythm game's rights to a company that makes unrealistic skateboarding games.

But anyways, what do you mean by "too finished"?

The song has more than guitar, bass, drums, and all the standard stuff. I think there's synthesizer used in the singing.

That's a given, considering it's mixed for release. This is the song straight off of the retail single disc. If I had the masters, I'd have taken out a lot of what's been synthesized.

As for Toyosaki's vocals, they're most likely just prerecorded background harmonics, but it's still her voice. A lot of Japanese artists and idols will record harmonics for their 6. I think in this particular song they just added a lot of effects to those harmonics when mixing it.

Osu's a clone of EBA. Thus, it's still primarily based on the beat. The way the charts are designed aren't based at all on the melody. I'm not too into percussion, so it's not really my thing.

If this is still a continuation of whether it "fits" or not into game A or game B, well... all I have to say is, if it has a lot of guitars, it can work in Guitar Hero.
