Atheism implies you do NOT believe in any deities. I think a lot of metal artists use satanic imagery in their lyrics, videos, clothes etc.. as a simple form of rebellion against Christianity and/or organized religions, even though most of them are generally atheist and not satanist. Satan represents the accuser, opposite, the opposer and that's what Satanists do, oppose all established spiritual religions. There is no God but Man. Heaven and Hell is real on Earth, in the things we enjoy and the things we hate. Satanists see Satan as the dark force in nature, the Black Flame within.
