Its actually caused by an inner ear infection that happens in rodents. There are a few videos of squirrels that act the same way. I know because I used to have a Richardsons Ground squirrel (Basicly a mini praire dog) that kept getting them and despite my best efforts to save the lil guy he died from it. Rodents that have been poisoned act much like a drunk person slow movements mainly and quick movements are haphazard with the animal running into objects
@SiayaGK yes i saw one poisoned by ratsak, i think it has warfarin in it. it was like no real motor control and one of its legs at the front were paralized. though i would rather catch em inside with a trap quick and painless to the stinky thing. and they dont crawl under say the fridge to die and smell.
@zafgoesbaroque. Yes traps are more humane, but mice can outsmart traps. After failing to catch a mouse with a trap, I put a cheeto soaked in ant spray on the floor. The mouse took the bait.
It looks like this animal has been poisoned with one of the super-warfarins which has caused a heamoragic stroke and partial brean death characterised by the runing in circles and impared coordination.
Sad, but thank you for posting. Looks like a mouse exhibiting seizures and "circling," both signs of neurotoxicity. Check out antidoteradio.com and a related clip: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpLPoJXqfNw. People who might appear to be sick or "crazy" are sometimes just reacting to toxic exposures, etc. (Instead of putting more stuff into them, like medications, sometimes it's more effective, and intelligent, to identify and remove causes, or at least exacerbants.)

these poor animals die a slow and painful death after being poisoned. A trap is a far more humane and environmentally conscientious option.

Look like he got into grandpa's medicine cabinet. A bit of the whiskey, eh? No wonder the walk home seems longer when you're wasted!
