I'm in tears, I first heard this song about 40 years ago as a child im England when on every New Years Day they used to play wonderful music on the radio all day. Never knew the name of the song but I do remember it was sung by a female with a haunting voice which I never forgot. So thanks to the 'world wide wait' as Nick Abbot says, I've found it! Now all I need to do is find the female voice...
