Gosh, in this video Holmes is so like me! xD I ALWAYS makes a mess when I'm looking for something in my room, one time I almost set fire to carpet, at 0:43-0:47 you can see me taking my dog for a walk, 1:01-1:03 me running from my hated neighbour! I bet anything, that me and Holmes would be a wonderful brother and sister!

Oh, yes. You're absolutely right. I can't remember perfectly but I think that Jeremy Brett was once asked in an interview if it was his idea to portray Holmes in this extraordinary way. He answered that he's playing him just as Doyle described Holmes in his books. Unfortunately this Holmes has been mostly overlooked.
