Mitt Romney is a con man. It is so obvious. That is why the liberals wanted him. They could push him around and continue to desecrate our traditions. We need a man not a mouse. And even though I say that,I still like Mitt but please not as our president
Turns out a vote for Romney was a vote for McCain.
Talk radio supported Rudy and Thompson, they didn't last long, then talk radio threw it's support to their 3rd choice Romney, now he's gone. Maybe it's a good thing they have never embraced Huckabee.
Could it be talk radio dosen't have the influence they give themself credit for having.
Maybe Americans were against Amnesty without talk radio telling them to be.
Romney has proven once again to be a flip flopper. He is backing McCain after spending months saying what a bad choice he would be for President. Romney is such a sell-out and has zero political integrity.
You are so ignorant. Romney has more integrity in his pinky than Gomer Pyle has in his entire body! He changed his mind on abortion -- 14 yrs ago! Have you ever changed your mind? I was once pro choice, now I'm not. I guess I'm a flip flopper, too. More importantly, Huckaphony is a LIBERAL lying FRAUDS -- PRO AMNESTY, PRO ILLEGALS, SOFT ON CRIME -- 1033 commutations...a real prize.
You realize you just made a case for changing your mind on something and then rejected the fact that Huckabee has changed his mind on immigration. A little hypocritical and illogical.
Also, it is one thing to change your mind once. But to go back and forth depending on where you are running for office - that is dishonest and shows total lack of integrity. Romney goes back and forth - that is the very definition of flip flopping.
Go Romney!! Write him in! Don't give up yet conservatives! We need to make a statement...let's stay involved in this election and fight for what is right. It is time to take a stand for conservatism. Write him in on your ballots!
I just hope you guys don't elect this religious bigot anyway. I mean, having all your intelligent people moving here would improve our quality of life, but I don't want a Dominionist having the keys to a nuclear arsenal.
Romney was never a conservative and neither are any of the others except Ron Paul. He is the only one who would end the war which is the only way we could balance a budget.
what's wrong with republican voters? how could they let this man goes? Democrate's already in the White House the minute he quitted. Independent voter like myself find no connection with McCain (old style speech, no energy)AHHHHH. I wish Romney is still in...

Can I ask; I'm British, I saw all of this speech, and at one point Romney said; "Europe is facing a demographic disaster. That is the inevitable product of... disrespect for the sanctity of human live."
What did he mean by 'disrespect for the sanctity of human life'? Last time I checked no one has faced the death penalty in Britain for 40 years, but people with the mental age of children are being executed every month in the United States.
Funny this coming from a person who lives on a continent that gave birth two of the most evil people in history. Unlike you, we believe that we make examples of criminals. Prevents crime better that way, and we don't have to worry about overcrowding.
In Europe we don't think the state has the right to punish or kill. The best way to prevent crime is to rehabilitate the perpetrators of it - to find out why they committed the crime in the first place and fix the problem. Isn't that better then killing them? Isn't it the Christian thing to do? I'm thinking of John 8:7 (so much for 'weakened faith in the Creator').
Funny you should mention that, people have a tendency to ignore the laws of causality, that what you do WILL have a consequence. By the way, If you want to know, it was originally God who established the death penalty. If someone takes a life of an innocent, that their life is forfeit. Furthermore, why do you think that an overwelming 70% who get "rehabilitated" go out and committ crimes after they're released ?
That's a US statistic, it's far lower in the UK. The US sends people to prison for silly things, that's why rehabilitation doesn't work for you. Gary McKinnon was imprisoned for hacking into NASA's computer and looking for aliens. In Europe he would have been thanked for discovering a hole in security and employed to find more. Also, you may think it was originally God who established the death penalty, I'm sure it was Humans. In any case, what would Jesus say about the electric chair?
And one wonders why they can get away with nearly everything in Europe, nevermind that, It was told in black and white that God established the first penalty for murder. You may be sure, but if I were you, I'd check out Genesis. Furthermore, the real question was, what did Jesus think about the crucifixion ? Believe me, being electricuted to death is a hell of a lot better than being crucified, and Jesus never condemned it.
That's very odd logic; Jesus was in favour of the death penalty because he was brutally executed? Jesus said we should forgive and turn the other cheek, the death penalty goes against that fundamentally.
We all have the same right to life, no matter who we are or what we've done, and the state has no more right to take life than the individual. This right is in the European Convention on Human Rights; my original question was, why did Romney say Europeans didn't respect the sanctity of life?
Your not seeming to get it. In this regard, I have already argued with another won of your kind and got nowhere. But to answer your original question, the reason why he said that is because of your guys abortion policy, embryonic stem cell research, etc. I'd suggest before you start preaching at us about the sanctity of human life, that you take a good long look at yourselves. Then you can start telling us Americans what to do.
Abortion is legal in every state of the United States. It's illegal in Ireland, Malta, Spain, Germany and parts of the UK. In countries where it's legal in Europe there is promotion of contraception which cuts down on the numbers of unwanted children. So out of the US and Europe, which would you say has the tougher rules on abortion?
Pontius Pilate was a pagan and he didn't do anything because God authorised it.
I don't understand Christians who support capital punishment. Jesus said that you should forgive, turn the other cheek, and love your enemy. How can you love someone and kill them. Also, what about the commandment 'Thou shall not kill'?
In Britain the death penalty was abolished after a campaign lead by the church and leading Christian theologians. Do you think you know better than them?
Actually I am a pastor and have a Masters of Divinity. So again, you might want to go reread your New Testament.
10 Then Pilate said to Him, "Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have power to crucify You, and power to release You?" 11 Jesus answered, "You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Matthew 19:10-11
Jesus said that Pilate was given the authority/power to crucify by God.
That, and he fails to mention how Pilate gave the decision of death, not up to God, but to the people gathered, so that they choose, and he even washes his hands of their decision. I live in Nebraska and our method of electrocution got struck down finally. Now if we can just get rid of the death penalty all together.
Jesus' words are similar to Romans 13 where we are told that God gives government the power of the sword for justice. God does have the power - and according to the Bible - He authorizes the state to use it for justice. Go read Romans 13
Jesus himself said that parts of the Old Testament had served their purpose, and were for a time when Humans were more savage. Do you think we should practice an eye for an eye, should Christians eat kosher?
I think you can take many passages in the bible and used them to 'prove' whatever you want. You need to take the bible as a whole and judge the sprit of its message. I see a message of peace and forgiveness that supports a justice system that promotes rehabilitation over punishment.
You're right. But don't you think the spirit of the New Testament's message is one of peace and forgiveness that is better represented in a justice system that promotes rehabilitation over punishment?
Messages of peace and forgiveness in the NT are messages to individuals. When the NT talks of the government it talks of justice and the sword. You are taking things out of context. It is like when people say the Bible promotes socialism because it tells us to give out of our wealth. That is taking it out of context. Individuals are to give out of their wealth - not the gov't forcing a system.
That's your opinion, and you're welcome to it. I disagree with your interpretation, as does the Lambeth Conference of Anglican and Episcopalian bishops, the Roman Catholic Church, and the ELCA, all of which have condemned the death penalty.
Not really a valid argument if you read the Old Testament. God has whole cities of men, women, and children killed while showing his wrath. And He would use the Hebrews to do it. God pours his wrath out for justice all the time in Scripture.
That's because in the U.S., they don't rehabilitate prisoners, because...gasp!, that would cost money, even though in the long-run proactive and preventative measures save more money to reduce crime and raise the standard of living than reactive measures do. We throw them in the pen, but do we rehabilitate the mind? Sadly, no. I'm not saying though that everyone can be rehabilitated, those who can't like sociopaths and serial killers, need to be locked up for life.
Here's what hes really saying. In this time of my own cash being sucked up. I can't let that happen or be apart of. I hate giving up my money to be president. Thank you for giving me your money. If this wasn't about me giving up 30 mil, I'd go on. Before I had to give up 30 mil, I was ready to fight on but I don't love America that damn much to give up my chips, you guys are crazy if you think I'm givin up another damn dime.
Last time I checked Iowa wasn't in the South. What kind of map do you use? Not to mention he was less than a percentage point from taking Missouri - again, not in the south. Let's see, oh yes, West Virginia - again, not in the south.
Guess you have no clue what you are talking about.
Actually, Romney cost the race so far for conservatives. If he was just going to quit he should have done it before super tuesday and florida - then Huckabee would be winning!
This guy was the best candidate. Now we have lobster hands John McCain. What a loser! Liberal traitor. Votes agains President Bush's tax break of 2001. Now he talks about extending the cuts? He couldn't beat his way out of a paper bag. Hillary is the next president.
Romney is a great guy but he should o ran as the moderate to liberal Republican technocrat that he was. He only got late talk radio support because he was thought as the most viable alternative to McCain. Talk Radio would have been far better off supporting Huckabee or Hunter as they were the two real conservatives from the get go. Thompson was McCain light and Rudy and Romney had very similar records.
it makes me sick to see our soldiers dying corporate profits.. warmongers are evil profiteers.. please do some research before you vote.. google 'money masters' and 'zeitgeist'.. wake up or lose all your freedoms along with this country. are you a patriot to the country or the government?
I feel sorry for him because he's spent so much and worked so hard. I think he's genuine, and he made a hard, but smart decision. Huckabee is the way to go!
Support Macain he said for the party and he dosent want to see obama or hilary elected, macain is realy the only one who can prevent it. hillary still leads in the polls over macain and dominates huckabee.
Some polls in the past couple of months have shown Huckabee beating Clinton. I think Huck or McCain would both easily beat Clinton. She is polarizing. However, McCain would get slaughtered by Obama. It would be old vs. new. There would at least be a fair fight if it was two new people: Obama vs. Huckabee.
Reasons4Huckabee Don't call me a bigot. I am not against people just mass delusion (religion). Huckabee is a nice guy but there are too many reasons to list why religion belongs in church not politics. There is a chance due to his popularity McCain will likely pick Huckabee for a running mate. After 8 years of Bush, you'll need to be doing a hell of a lot of praying(wishfull thinking) for a GOP win.
Limbsy, I am not part of the ultra right conservative group that only care how "Jesified " a candidate is. That is how George W got elected. Remember?.
This video is asking Romney supporter to go to Huckabee and you point out the major problem people have with Huckabee "religious bigotry." Even if Huckabee isn't a religious bigot, supporters such as yourself don't paint a welcoming picture.
Conservatives aren't religous bigots who do secret deals to block someone else. Huckster is no conservative. Conservatives don't raise taxes and pull the GOP to the Left.
You are delusional. There are no back room deals. When the Presidential race started in Iowa the news media went over and over what a caucus is. If one candidate doesn't get enough votes then they fight it out until there is a winner. One side tries to convince the other side to come over to they're side. Its that simple. There is no back door deals or some sort of conspiracy. That is just absurd.
Mitt Romney is a con man. It is so obvious. That is why the liberals wanted him. They could push him around and continue to desecrate our traditions. We need a man not a mouse. And even though I say that,I still like Mitt but please not as our president

Huckabee is mathematically eliminated. He's been taken out by logic-the one thing he's ignored his whole life.
Outside of Gravel and Kucinich, every last candidate in either party is on the right. Quit lying.

Where did you learn math?
He can win with 85% of the remaining delegates.
Or him and Ron Paul can win 55% of the remaining delegates and force the election to the convention floor where anything can happen.

Vote for the Taxpayer's Best Friend, Ron Paul

Huckabee is pro-Iraq. He'll never make it against the Democrats' anti-war position.
pbcinla 4 years ago 2
Mitt Romney admits he loves America in this time of war. That's why he's giving up to McCain. Can't split the Iraq War vote.
Instituting a NATIONAL SALES TAX IS NOT CONSERVATIVE.
The REAL conservative is RON PAUL.
pbcinla 4 years ago 2
Actually Ron Paul said that the National Sales Tax is his plan if they can't cut enough spending. He said that on Meet the Press - go check it.
Reasons4Huckabee 4 years ago
You need to go check.
He never mentions it as part of his "plan". He is not co-sponsoring it. He would vote for it only to get rid of the IRS once for all.
From the interview:
TIM: "If you had [the Fair Tax]...that would be very punishing to the poor and middle class."
PAUL: "I know. That's why I don't want it.... I want to cut spending."

Thompson was McCain light and Rudy and Romney had very similar records.

it makes me sick to see our soldiers dying corporate profits.. warmongers are evil profiteers.. please do some research before you vote.. google 'money masters' and 'zeitgeist'.. wake up or lose all your freedoms along with this country. are you a patriot to the country or the government?
hideandwatch55 4 years ago
I feel sorry for him because he's spent so much and worked so hard. I think he's genuine, and he made a hard, but smart decision. Huckabee is the way to go!
God bless America!

Support Macain he said for the party and he dosent want to see obama or hilary elected, macain is realy the only one who can prevent it. hillary still leads in the polls over macain and dominates huckabee.

JayRadBarnes, Being a preacher, The one thing Huck can likely out do both Obama and Clintion in, is selling bullshit.
AuShawster 4 years ago
Good to see bigots like you can use deep logic.
Reasons4Huckabee 4 years ago
Some polls in the past couple of months have shown Huckabee beating Clinton. I think Huck or McCain would both easily beat Clinton. She is polarizing. However, McCain would get slaughtered by Obama. It would be old vs. new. There would at least be a fair fight if it was two new people: Obama vs. Huckabee.
Reasons4Huckabee 4 years ago
Reasons4Huckabee Don't call me a bigot. I am not against people just mass delusion (religion). Huckabee is a nice guy but there are too many reasons to list why religion belongs in church not politics. There is a chance due to his popularity McCain will likely pick Huckabee for a running mate. After 8 years of Bush, you'll need to be doing a hell of a lot of praying(wishfull thinking) for a GOP win.
AuShawster 4 years ago
He was warned. His magic underware would get ahead of his policies. In America "conservative " means religiously delutional.
AuShawster 4 years ago
He ran a secular government with a 90% democratic legislature and no one complained. Stop being biased.
Limbsy 4 years ago
Limbsy, I am not part of the ultra right conservative group that only care how "Jesified " a candidate is. That is how George W got elected. Remember?.
AuShawster 4 years ago
AuShawster,
This video is asking Romney supporter to go to Huckabee and you point out the major problem people have with Huckabee "religious bigotry." Even if Huckabee isn't a religious bigot, supporters such as yourself don't paint a welcoming picture.
EngineerMom 4 years ago
EngineerMom I am qualified to mock and ridicule religious dilusion. I am an atheist.
Romney has some good ideas. It is too bad too many Americans are so desperate to hold on to stupid myths.
AuShawster 4 years ago
If you are really conservative and it is not about you than back Mike Huckabee!
Reasons4Huckabee 4 years ago
Conservatives aren't religous bigots who do secret deals to block someone else. Huckster is no conservative. Conservatives don't raise taxes and pull the GOP to the Left.
McLuvinzor 4 years ago 2
You are delusional. There are no back room deals. When the Presidential race started in Iowa the news media went over and over what a caucus is. If one candidate doesn't get enough votes then they fight it out until there is a winner. One side tries to convince the other side to come over to they're side. Its that simple. There is no back door deals or some sort of conspiracy. That is just absurd.
