My boyfriend is a huge Pearl Jam fan, and I think the songs are good for when there is beautiful mourning to be had. I am going to do great things in my life, and my cat will be a part of everything I do because I had him from ages 8-22.

That's sad, i listen to this as well but for me and my battle with HIV almost passed away over a year ago, but have made it love my life and all it's perks like true love, my dog other than my wife is my dog is my best friend she"dog" would lay in bed when things weren't good my little angel we got her one month before I wed she has turned out to an amazing animal, sorry about your dog but it is at peace now, I don't think I would have the guts to put my dog down just saying:)

Nov 12, 2011 will be one year since we lost my husband & father of 4 to cancer. This is the song choosen for his memorial service. We will survive but it's so hard without him. Thanks Pearl Jam for music that says all that needs to be said. I can only imagine you were facing a loss when this was written.
This song came out around the time I was diagnosed with cancer and given a 50/50 chance of living 5 years....it has a LOT of meaning for my wife and I...sums up sooo much.

My Dad just died September 26th and I played this at his funeral, It makes me sad to listen to it but I force myself to cause it reminds me of him so much, he was taken before his time and I am not sure how I will be able to finish out my life without him here, I only got 15 years with him and that makes me sad, He died of a drug overdose (April 14th 1973---September 26th 2011)

I've not forgotten my dad, but have learned to live with him not being part of my life. Know that you are a living part of him and he is ALWAYS with you. I truly believe that their spirit is guiding with love in a way that they could never do in life. Hope that this brings comfort to you.

My Dad just died September 26th and I played this at his funeral, It makes me sad to listen to it but I force myself to cause it reminds me of him so much, he was taken before his time and I am not sure how I will be able to finish out my life without him here, I only got 15 years with him and that makes me sad, He died of a drug overdose (April 14th 1973---September 26th 2011)

@Kalebsadorkk - My condolences on your loss. I lost my dad when I was 21 and my youngest brother was 14 (20+ years ago). I've not forgotten my dad, but have learned to live with him not being part of my life. Know that you are a living part of him and he is ALWAYS with you. I truly believe that their spirit is guiding with love in a way that they could never do in life. Hope that this brings comfort to you.

I look at this song a little differently, my husband and I have been married for 10 years and we have the family of the 21st century. Yours, mine and ours. We look at the strugles of having a blended family. Loving eachover and being there for eachover. Eddie you are amazing so glad our children, 8,12 and 14 know and love Pearl Jam as much as we do.

This was played at my very good friend, Nigel's funeral. The whole funeral was very religious, which was unlike him. someone sang this song on an acoustic guitar, and I think that's what made everyone cry. I miss you so much, Nigel. One love, one valentine, NZV <3

I went to visit a friend of mine dying of cancer at the age of 32. I was lucky and unlucky to see him in his last breaths. When I was a home I put on my music on random and this song came on. I cannot not help but to think of him each time that I hear this song. Thank you Pearl Jam for a lovely song that evokes memories of my homie.

Love this song!! My brother took his life this past December, he was 24! Father to the most adorable 1 1/2 year old boys! My other brothers and I play this song for him. One of the best songs ever made!

Father died last Sunday, colon cancer....far too early in life. Most incredible man. Wake is tomorrow, this song will play. Brothers been playing it the last six months........so special. Eddie has always had a way with words.

my father died the december before last- I had never heard this song before. There he layed a half an hour before his death. We light some candle's and I sat beside him holding his hand. His wife said please put on some music used satilite radio, My brother turned on- and this song began playing. It will always mean the world to. EVery time I miss him I go back here to search out the song. It means the world too me. I cry everytime-- but they're tears of love and great memories.

Lucifer is not a temporary advisory, but is an angel which God condemned to eternal torment because Lucifer did not want to bow down to Gods later creation, mankind.
That's all there is to it. He is not inherently evil, though I assume he is angry, and he cannot escape hell in any way shape or form. He is just like a damned human, but more mighty and wise.
