damn!!! my game crashes every time i start or anything about campaign. it says runtime error. but in versus it runs well

microsoft fixed the error so do not set your time back at all. go online and find games for windows live 3.0 setup or something along those live

my virus scanner goes crazy when i change date and the patches give an error too what should i do now?

well...u must have a crappy antivirus...try disabling it while installing patches and the date

The error is caused because the .exe expires January 28th 2009 ... lol thank god for patches though!

i got a problem after doing what you said, it starts the game correctly all goes well, but after 5 mins after iv'e started the game it shuts down and it comes a window in the middle where is saids that the game has a problem and cant continue running, got any ideas of how i should do?

I actually worked, big thanks man. just got one question, what does the date have to do with the game launcher?

It's actually not the launchers fault...it's games for windows LIVE. once u set the date back, when u signed into live after that, it should have prompted you to update live....once the update is finished, you can put the date back to regular and it should work

does it pretty much just give you an unexpected error thing....

if it does

launch the game from the binaries folder

should be the item that says Startup file

that should launch the game for you to be able to download updates and all

type in gears of war patch 3 in youtube and the new update is there and it's working GREAT!

I fixed it long time ago....pretty much what you have to do, is get all the patches when u install the game.....then set the time back to before jan. 27 of 2009...then as soon as you logg in, live is going to update itself and thats pretty much it. Live is the thing causing the problem

lol when i was trying to enter the profuct key...i put my GTA IV key and it worked because its on LIVE too ;p and i tried it on halo 2 and it worked again ! so try it ;d

Thanks....just be sure to set your PC back to regular time after it gets the update when you log into the game.

after you have done that...it will ask you to download a update.....that would be the error fix...you can set your date/time back to what they should be...in this case April 5th :D..

yes!!! once you do it according to the video, the live software will ask you to download the latest update on it. Update it and then change your time back to current and it should work
