I have headers and still have a cat on mine I'm looking for an exhaust that doesn't sound too loud but still helps with some hp......I'm not trying to rave but would like to have a little more response with out drawing every cop in the areas attn!lol
i'm telling you that kind of rasp only happens when the metal vibrates, weld all the pieces together and make sure that tip is real snug and you could probably get rid of it

Put a cat on it, and an 18" resonator and it might not sound like a dogs squeaq toy

If you don't want restriction like cat at least put a 14" resonator to take all raspiness out and you will be ok :) .. nice sound from dynomax!
