    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW

  • they called themselves Breadzeppellin when they made this song.lol.

  • The drummer's a-maaazing.

  • Silly little song is the best song I have ever heard, ever. Truth.

  • @kimpalmerful isn't it though? Just about the only song from BREAD that I actually can groove to time and again.

  • I'm still amazed at how good Bread is! growing up I thought they were just a joke from a Simpsons episode. "Oldies!? But I just saw them on the King Biscuit Flour Hour!"

  • This is a great song. This song was a little before my time, and i swear I never heard it unitl a couple years ago. Bread was sappy and THIS IS A GREAT ROCK SONG. LUV IT!

  • Man oh man.....I love this song!!! Sure do wish I could find this entire concert!

  • And we are still not free

  • BTW is that a weed plant on stage

  • @trekkian88 amen to that.

  • soft hard rock

  • Just to show you how far down the music business has fallen, watch this, then realize in 'seventy one it was a "minor hit." Now it sounds like inspired freaking genius on fire with inspiration from above.

  • Type in stereomaid please

  • Sorry but dude is wrong, Its from 1973's Best of Bread Album.......but its been on a few earlier albums...like other dude said it was a minor hit in 71.....so I could be citied as wrong as well....but it is all good enjoy the music,,

  • Sorry but dude is wrong, Its from 1973's Best of Bread Album.......

  • @bluedaddy23 it's from the album "baby I'm a want you " ...of course it came later on a greatest hits album...lol

  • david gates rocks. lotsa good musical talent out of oklahoma.

  • They were so damned good.Signature sound.........

  • If you mean what year the song is from, it's from 1972 originally. It's on their "Baby I'm A Want You" album.

  • What an absolute great post: Bread is rocking out! I try to tell people that Bread did it all great, but they always want to slap the "soft rock" label on so many great groups from Dan Fogelberg to Ambrosia--but true fans know the truth about their artists! This is a super awesome post, and I thank you again JamesGriffinMusic! Sincerely, BobbyK

  • Freedom in my mind, regardless the others in my life... meditation and love flow. Calm. That's it. Just taking care of my head, while others are left to take care of theirs. That's my anger management.

  • Thats a great number

  • Holy shit!

  • I remember seeing them at The Arie Crown Theatre in Chicago in the 70's and they sounded great live.

  • Always did enjoy this song.

  • @jt20042: Had a copy of this song in Panama, which meant it had to be released in '72-'75...

  • @MrDanlennon3 - This song came out in (I believe) Mid-1971 or thereabouts.

  • As much as I hate to admit it, I went to a Bread concert in 1972, motivated by my date who loved them and I wanted to keep her happy (ie: wanted to get in to her pants afterwards). David and the band were as boring as expected with a few uptempo tunes mixed in, then at the end of the concert they played "Mother Freedom". My god! They could have have been one of the best rock bands ever if they had only played more music like this instead of the ballads!

  • love this song and band

  • Bread could rock when they wanted to!! This a heavy song. Thanks for posting. Any idea what year this is from?

  • @jt20042 This is after their first hiatus so it's either '76 or '77.

  • @JamesGriffinMusic Mother Freedom hit the charts in '71 and was the first song on "Baby I'm - A Want You" ('72). This concert was filmed in either '76 or '77.

  • @jt20042 hi, the song mother freedom is from 1972. it,s on the album

baby i.m a want you. the footage is from 1977.

  • @jt20042 I don't know when this concert footage is from (early-mid 70s) but the record was a minor hit in the autumn of '71.

  • Rest in Peace Mr. Griffin, and I hope you run into Harry Chapin in heaven. I miss you both...
