@teo1504 I think a good bassist needs to learn both fingers and pick techniques. You know, depends on the tone you want. I prefer using the fingers, 'cause it makes me more connected with the instrument, but for some tones (like metal, punk) I use pick.

And of course I use pick when my fingers are aching too much >___<
