Ok to get abs you need to burn fat. You burn fat through a calorie deficit. So how does low carb mean six pack as oppose to a more all around balanced diet of high protein, moderate carbs, and fats. Carbs are your enemy people an excess of above you maintenance is. Eating above your basic metabolic rate regardless even if its protein can cause the storage of fat. Just avoid high GI carbs that could spike your insulin. Just get some whole wheat pasta instead of going through the trouble.

@Bngkillerxxx Salt can cause you to retain water. also if you have to much it causes hypertension. If you drink a lot of water I don't think salt should be an issue. That is just some info I have.
I do this but bake the squash. After you cut it open and clean it place it cut side down in the caseroul dish and then bake it in the oven. 350 or so till done. Microwave is easier but using microwaves to cook has been proven to remove some of the nutrients from the food.

Cooking squash will reduce the vitamins, though it also helps break down the large amounts of energy and is the only way to get at the majority of the energy in plants like squash. Benefits outweigh cons. Also It's a chemical reaction independent of method of cooking. Finally if you weren't to cook any of your food you would spend 6 hours a day chewing to get enough energy from it (like a chimp
i got a little scared watching you cut that raw! lol... Love spaghetti squash but I never cut it or cleaned it out while raw. I puncture it nuke it turn it every couple of minutes and while it is steaming scalding hot I cut it in half and clean out the hot seeds. Not sure which is safer attempting to cut the squash while solid and raw or when it is boiling hot? :-( thanks for the great recipe!
oh yeah and once cooked the skin is soft and thin so it is easy to then cut it all around and scoop out, but I think you lose more squash with the seeds after!
