@DerSchokomonk hi (sorry for taking so long to respond! lol) i believe this would be a complete laryngeal removal because a node of this size and look would most likely be cancerous and w/ just one side of vocal cords i dont believe the patient can have to ability to produce sounds of audible speech, because as you know without that bernouli effect and both sides of the vocal folds we have no speech lol and it is a safe procedure rather than working w/scare tissue or the node returning.

Smoking isn't too smart either, so generally I just use the Swedish-made snus. The snus have much fewer carcinogens, and most of the stuff that causes cancer is from burnt tobacco or even the tobacco smoke. There are safer ways to get nicotine, including the gum and e-cigarettes.
