I have discovered this series for a few days, but I really like it! I think what surprised me most was Merlin's voice! Whenever I saw a commercial of this movie, I thought he had high voice, but it is away from that! It's quite low and appropriate for a man that is suposed to save a kingdom!! I find that quite... nice! :)

Thanks for uploading this, man! The show looks pretty interesting although Morgan le Fay looks a bit *ugly* if you get my meaning. Then again, I guess girls were like that back then. Still, the show's pretty good and I will continue watching it. Thank you!

@foolersqueen Yeah, I know what you mean. By my standards she's in between sort of. I just hate thick eyebrows and that kind of look Morgan has. Otherwise, she's a fairly likeable character. It's a shame she turns evil, or so I've heard. How much farther do they stray from the traditional Arthurian Legend though? Because according to the real story, Arthur loved Gwenifer and Merlin loved Morgan le Fey (Morganna/Morgan) not the other way around. That's a major thing that pisses me off about it...

@December2012Junkie don't make judgement too quickly! In the second series, Arthur builds up a stronger relationship with Gwen and Merlin becomes closer with Morgana, but also, in the ledgends, Gwen goes off with Lancelot, so that will be interesting to see what they do with that! (SPOILER ALERT) as they've reached the sword in the stone point now (at the end of se3). Mordred (the druid boy) was always the son of Arthur and Morgana in the legends, and they were related through Uther. Weird!

@December2012Junkie It's actually quite acurate to the basic storyline of the original tales. If you watch the rest of the show, you'll see that Gwen and Merlin are no closer than being like family, and Morgana and Arthur are the same. They'll end up in their original pairings: Morgana and Merlin, Arthur and Gwen.

And she's not evil, she's just magic.

@foolersqueen Okay, phew! That's a relief. I was worried for a minute. I guess that makes it more origional as a TV Series in a way. But also, according to the Arturhian Legend I go by (the traditional one) Morgan le Fey turns evil when Merlin refuses to show her some kind of magic or something. Then she kills him somehow either by trapping him in a tower of ice or beneath a crystal boulder, something odd like that. I haven't looked it up in ages but that's what I remember. That's good to hear!

@December2012Junkie Yeah, I know the legend. But they have to change it a bit in order to make it a watchable show. If they went completely by the book (pardon the pun), it wouldn't be as enjoyable to watch.

@foolersqueen That's true! You have a point there. However, I'm wondering - does Merlin form the Knights of the Round Table in this series? Is there a Mordred and all? Also, when does Excalibur come into play? Don't spoil too much! ;-) Just wondering because I made up a story idea about the Athurian Legend except that the hero of the story comes to Camelot from Earth & somehow has *magical* powers. He takes on the title of Merlin as Merlin doesn't exist. He forms the Round Table and stuff.
